<<@adammcguinness9950 says : Beautiful work.>> <<@photoshopEndevour says : "I've found a knife on the roadside in France" - my words exactly when i show my wife a new knife that I bought.>> <<@matttheknife8293 says : That’s great work.>> <<@ivanstiles7030 says : That turned out awesome! Nice restoration brother>> <<@alainjarjar2820 says : Beau travail, je restaure actuellement le même numéro 8 que j'avais a l'armée en 1978. Je refait le manche avec le bois d'un magnifique cerisier que j'ai dû couper. Ça fera 2 souvenirs dans un petit couteau.😉>> <<@markl2815 says : Just did a similar thing to a no 8 knife in similar condition… they are so good they are easy to bring back to life. Best value knives on the market>> <<@wooddavid8293 says : Nice save! Good for another 25+ years!>> <<@nicholaspietrzak9992 says : Thanks for the video my wife left mine in the garden and it rusted quite a bit so I need to do mine now>> <<@Epiidevvy says : Okay I already love this channel and I saw this video because i just bought an Opinel. But then thr Doom Metal too‽ Joerg, you spoil me. Does anyone know the Song and Band?>> <<@goodboi4939 says : I recently bud on an old and poor condition opinel knife like this one, this was my plan for it. These blades are the twinkies of pocketknives haha>> <<@heyarno says : Das ist schön geworden. Fehlt nur noch ein Lederköcher, damit es nicht in der Tasche aufgehen kann.>> <<@lutzkowalke9626 says : Schade um die Arbeit , einfach wegwerfen ...>> <<@tocardinho78 says : Nice work for bringing this Opinel back to life !>> <<@jayclark7237 says : Great knife. Great restoration. Lousy music.>> <<@patricegarnierlobo25111967 says : nothing change since a long time the rotative ring ( virole) it s the them on the number 13 about 1970........bu the virole of another size have changed four time the last in 2000 and the system his the them of your 13 but not the look>> <<@jules2cv says : Ofcourse you have the big opinel HAHHAHA>> <<@seekingthequestion says : I am looking for someone to restore my grandfather’s knife, with the skill and love that you’ve shown here. Any suggestions on how to find a restorer? I am based in Belgium.>> <<@Jenonymouse says : Very nice! Gotta love that it looks brand new again.>> <<@mjr.kuffenbach3787 says : How to kill nice old knive with patina? ..."restore"...>> <<@chrislavalley says : Come to Canada for a visit we like you!>> <<@LucisPictor says : Very nicely done!>> <<@dockins says : What is the model number of the sander you are using?>> <<@wildelapina5955 says : nice>> <<@dumbidiot3650 says : Good find>> <<@canadafree2087 says : Great job! The fact that an Opinel can come back from such rust and still be as useful as the day it was made, is a testament to their quality. I still have mine that I bought new before the lock closed ring. Once I found out about the new ring, I took mine off and cut a lock close notch into the ring.>> <<@MrMikeyt65 says : Nicely done! 👍👍👍👍👍>> <<@francissobotka8725 says : You should of just removed the rust and refinished the handle like you did.>> <<@dunkellu says : ich habe auch schon den einen oder anderen opinel-ebay-fund wieder neu hergerichtet. es entspannt und man hat was schönes selbst gemachtes zum weiter verschenken wenn mal will. ein wirklich schönes stück mit einer gewissen patina hast du da. man sieht die arbeit die drin steckt.>> <<@johnq.citizen8076 says : I have almost every kind of knife, but my little Opinel No. 9 gets so sharp that it scares me as much as my Cold Steel Espada xl .>> <<@stalhandske9649 says : I have an old by DGW in Dresden, model 31A10, belonged to my late father. It has maintained its sharpness through the years, so it still could be of service. Now that I have seen this I guess I'll have to restore it, as well.. no peace of mind otherwise.>> <<@gringo01141983 says : Kłamczuch>> <<@muratcelik9280 says : 😇>> <<@ianatkins1213 says : Brilliant restoration. These are great knives. Unbelievable value for a quality product made in France.>> <<@ancientbuilds3764 says : Excellent knives. Eminently practical. Why? The steel. These knives can be sharpened on practically anything. When you are gutting tonnes of fish on a trawler, two scrapes against the hull and back to work. The steel flakes on the edge a bit, making for a rough sharpness that is excellent for ripping fish scales and rope. If you are in a survival situation, you need one of these as a backup. They won't hammer or take sidereal force. They will snap. But hell... Can they cut. Great for dressing small animals, and for saving on your main blade.>> <<@DeconstructedWithJosh says : Nice restoration. Where's the music from?>> <<@rabbitholeresident6490 says : And I love the heavy metal what band is this ??>> <<@roypierce9214 says : Respekt man>> <<@Diggnuts says : An Opinel number 9 has been my pocket knife for years now. Had an 8 earlier, but the 9 is just that much more useful and still pocket size, unlike that 13!!!!! HOLY @^#%&@%! That is a foldable machete!>> <<@Internet_Pirat says : song name pls?>> <<@ch0cchip704 says : Really good to see a restoration of that knife and I'm glad you oiled the handle and didn't varnish it 👍>> <<@MrSteve280 says : Classic is a much overused word but it certainly applies to the Opinel. The Hilux diesel of knives.>> <<@sudoroot5457 says : is that now a forbidden one-hand knife - a weapon in Germany - that is punished with a fine of up to 10,000 euros in acc. to German law??>> <<@lupolotrox5713 says : Tolles Video als Gegenentwurf zu unserer konsumorientierten Wegwerfgesellschaft!>> <<@fankoch138 says : opinel halt ...hab auch 2 ..das No.8 und das No 10 slim (bin angler) und schätze beide sehr>> <<@kevin6030 says : awesome job Jorge. I love your videos man keep on coming. where no pussies here on the slingshot channel 🤠👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼.>> <<@Zendail says : Good music choice>> <<@CraftingRacoon says : Awesome I'm. Actually starting the same thing with an Opinel no9 found in my garden when we moved in the house. Very usefull 👍👍👍>> <<@georga8619 says : Hat viel mehr Charme als ein nagelneues 👍👍>> <<@olafspetzki says : These are cheap knives, I have 3 of them, 2 of them with carbon blades like in the video (N 7 and N 9). The charme of such knives is that they develop character over the years. The wood and the carbon steel darkens, scratches in the handle etc. I wound not trade my old knives for new ones.>> <<@WiryTripleDs says : I have a modern 08 and I actually didn't know it had the locking feature so I'm glad I watched the video. Enjoyed the video as always, thanks for sharing>>
