Put them in the fridge (not the freezer, just the fridge). I have had rubber bands for over 10 years in the fridge and they last forever. If you use crossbow limbs, they pack a ton of force. The cocking lever needs to be reinforced or there will be bending issues. The mag catch spring, lever latch spring, and the trigger spring needs to be stronger than the instructions.
