Zorin OS sucks, if you really want it to look closely like Windows you have to get the paid version. Linux Mint is completely free. You can customize it as much as you please.

I tried installing it but got this error halfway through E;Sub-process/usr/bin/pkg returned error code 1. I turned off secure boot. I noticed it says bitlocker when I look at the hdd. Could this be the problem ? I connected an older ssd I had and tried installing it again and this time it installed correctly. So now I am running zorin os but I would like to install it on the hard drive that came with the pc. I made a bootable usb with windows in Zorin but when I try to install it I only see the option to boot into zorin os. My thinking is that if I install windows again I could turn off bitlocker and be able to install zorin on the nvme hdd that came with the PC. Should I try to make a bootable usb in windows and try again ? I hope someone can help. Thanks

One more thing,I don't play games or use things like photo studio,skypy,AI,co-pilot or Alexia, so can I remove the programmes I do not use from Zorin, and can I use my own screen saver and lock screen pictures from a USB stick, and can I still keep my GMX,Google and Proton Mail email addresses? None of these videos on YouTube answer any of these questions.

Shame on me, I wouldn't even introduce this garbage as a replacement for Windows!!!!!!!! Show me a viable Debian base Linux Mint, damn it, it can really replace Windows, you bastard!

People who keep recommending Linux Mint as the Linux distro for Windows users are doing people a disservice when this distro exists. The start menu feels a lot closer to the Windows 7 layout and the settings page has that clean layout much like Windows 10/11. My only gripe with the appearance after 20 minutes of playing around with it is the file manager looks like an Android app. It doesn't look as functional as File explorer in Windows which puts me off. They should keep pushing their GUI to be as close to the Windows GUI as possible to make it easier for Windows normies to switch to Linux.

I’ve installed the latest Zorin OS and tried running Affinity Serif software from the .exe files using Bottles, Wine, and other methods, but no luck. This video was made a year ago, and recently I saw on the Zorin OS website that Zorin OS Pro now comes with Affinity software included. I’ve searched YouTube for reviews or videos about this but couldn’t find any. I’m really curious about it and would be super happy if you could make a video on this in the future, since it’s the biggest reason I can’t fully switch to Zorin OS just yet.

I just need to find a way to hopefully get Photoshop Elements to work with Zorin as I mainly use this Laptop to Edit Photo's.

You can't really say windows users can move to Linux like zorin easily. Now it's windows support is not downloading for wine......

Sounds perfect for the new diaspora when Windows 10 security updates are discontinued. We should recommend Zorin to everyone who wants to leave Windows and Microsoft. I think I'll get Core Edition AND the Pro edition except that I won't actually install the Pro Edition -- it's just an easy way to support Zorin. Zorin should consider an advertising blitz this summer!

Great video mr expert... i downloaded the free version to try it on my desktop pc. My first impression... nice and smooth. The only draw-back for me is, my pc doesn't have wifi capabilites and it only has an on-board lan card. So im using a usb wireless nano adapter from TP-Link for my wifi connections which is working fine in the Windows environment even with native Windows drivers. Unfortunately in the Zorin environment the wifi adapter is not working... but the on-board lan card is working 100% and im even able to surf the net. While im suspecting it might be a drivers issue with Zorin as even on TP-Link site they dont seem to have any Linux drivers for the adapter. So i was hoping to access device manager in Zorin, much like in Windows. Any work around solution would be much appreciated.

How is it for security?. Does Linux need an Anti-Virus/Firewall program? I am planning on replacing WIn 10 with Linux because my mom's laptop can't upgrade to W 11. All she does is Youtube and Chat. Occasionally prints and scans stuff with a HP all in one. I am considering trying it with a flash drive live session without installing... Are there any limitations for this (Non installed) Demo mode? i would like to test this before I format my mom's HDD
