In hindsight, those that found ways to justify or rationalize away their own specific 'sin' or a multitude of them earned the grand title of Master Manipulator or Master Negotiator. In the 21st Century, some may call these same individuals...politicians and attorneys. This book sat in family libraries alongside Paradise Lost and The Brothers Grimm. The Seven Destructive Sins (As-Sab' al-Mubiqat) From Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet ๏ทบ said: "Avoid the seven destructive sins." The Sahaba asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what are they?" He replied: Shirk: Associating partners with Allah. Sihr: Practicing magic/sorcery. Murder: Killing a soul which Allah has forbidden, except for a just cause. Riba: Consuming usury (interest). Eating the orphan's property. Desertion: Fleeing from the battlefield during war. Qadhf: Accusing chaste, believing, and innocent women of adultery. (Source: Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim) 2. The Greatest of Great Sins From Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet ๏ทบ said: "Shall I not inform you of the greatest of the great sins?" (He repeated it three times). We said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said: Associating partners with Allah (Shirk). Disrespect/Undutifulness to parents. False testimony (or False speech): He was reclining, then he sat up and kept repeating it until we said (to ourselves), "If only he would stop" (out of compassion for his intensity). (Source: Sahih al-Bukhari) 3. Punishment for Shirk and Murder On Shirk: The Prophet ๏ทบ said: "Whoever meets Allah without associating anything with Him will enter Paradise, and whoever meets Him associating anything with Him will enter the Fire." (Source: Sahih Muslim) On Murder: The Prophet ๏ทบ said: "A believer remains within the scope of his religion as long as he does not shed forbidden blood." (Source: Sahih al-Bukhari) 4. Punishment for Disrespecting Parents The Prophet ๏ทบ said: "Allah delays the punishment of all sins as He wills until the Day of Resurrection, except for undutifulness to parents; for Allah hastens it for its doer in this life before death." (Source: Al-Hakim, Authentic/Sahih) 5. Punishment for Usury (Riba) In a long Hadith describing a vision, the Prophet ๏ทบ described the punishment of the one who consumes Riba: "He will be in a river of blood, and whenever he tries to get out, a stone is thrown into his mouth, forcing him back." (Source: Sahih al-Bukhari)>> <<@khamisa.5384 says : What the Prophet saw of the Punishments in the Hereafter The Prophet Muhammad witnessed various scenes of the punishment in the grave and the Hellfire during the Night Journey (Isra and Mi'raj), solar eclipses, and true visions. 1. During the Night Journey (Isra and Mi'raj) The punishments he saw corresponded to specific sins committed in this world: Consumers of Riba (Usury): He saw people swimming in a river of blood, and whenever they tried to escape, they were struck with stones in their mouths, forcing them back. Those Who Commit Backbiting (Gheebah): He saw people with nails of copper scratching their own faces and chests. Adulterers (Zina): He saw them inside a tannur (a stone oven) that was narrow at the top and wide at the bottom. Naked men and women were inside, and flames would leap up from beneath them, causing them to scream and rise, then fall back down. Those Who Devour Orphan's Wealth: He saw people with lips like camels, swallowing red-hot stones that came out from their posteriors. 2. The Punishment of the Grave (Adhab al-Qabr) The Disbeliever/Sinner's Grave: The Prophet ๏ทบ described that the grave of a wicked person constricts (squeezes) until their ribs interlace. The Iron Mace: He saw a person being struck with an iron mace (hammer) with such force that if a mountain were struck with it, it would turn to dust. The Sinful Speech: He saw a person whose cheeks were being torn from the mouth to the back of the neck with iron hooks because of the lies they spread. 3. General Scenes from Hellfire (Jahannam) The Lightest Punishment: The Prophet ๏ทบ said the person with the lightest punishment in Hell will have two smoldering coals placed under the arches of his feet, causing his brain to boil. The Majority of Dwellers: He ๏ทบ informed us that he saw the majority of the inhabitants of Hell were women, due to frequent cursing and ingratitude towards their husbands (disbelieving in the kindness shown to them).>> <<@RongmeiDarkwebs says : Who admitted here day before exam ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚>> <<@hackius_bombius_iv says : it's interesting how even dante from 1300 knows the earth wasn't flat yet here we are...>> <<@DarrinR.-pq8md says : Basically, everyone goes to Hell but the truly devoted to Jesus.
