I'm moroccan myself and we used those words everyday between us, sometimes when we get into a fight or an argument, we use some racist words. However, that doesn't mean the intention was the racism, some people use those words to offend the other part or give them a reason to fight back. Keep in mind that 20% of the population of Morocco are black people, including citizens from other countries in Africa, and not a single case of racism has been reported. With that said, even if Walid Regragui may said something during the fight, that doesn't mean he's racist, he's been living (as moroccan) in Europe for years and he's well educated about the topic. I'm sure the racism is not the intention here like the media said. This is just my honest opinion.>> <<@RedouanBouznifi says : First you make a video marocco is a good land doing things for Mali nowe this littel fight football happen you make a hole video negative vipe you bring nowe>> <<@innocentkabaso says : Y dd he get upset if thr was nothng done to him>> <<@innocentkabaso says : Its true thts y he got ubset>> <<@innocentkabaso says : Thy said thy are not african but thy are thy claim thy are arabs but the arabs denie thm>> <<@maghreb7004 says : you forgett to tell about his yellow card because time abuse. The "situation" was nothing but an anectode of how people perceive each other. And some obviously Israeli with mal intent tried to make this into a racial slur on social media. we have to be careful these days.>> <<@TJ-hs1qm says : 13:56 I think, his comment must be understood with the ongoing war in Gaza. But it's true despite Morocco's 50% Amazigh population, people live mostly in an islamic arabo-francophone media bubble. With little exposure to other African nations. The Sahara creates a big devide and everybody looks up to Europe. Add to this the Millions that Europe pours into Military to prevent people from entering Ceuta, so this creates a sad image as well. But if you follow along the on-va-mourir crowd in Cote d'Ivoire, people when they meet face to face, get along nicely. This is also thanks to the great heart of les Ivoirien. I think overall this CAN has done a lot to combat the stereotypes that Moroccans have about subsaharien Africa. So rasicm in Morocco exists, but it's mostly due to pure ignorance (which there is a lof of in Morocco) and the brutal situation in Ceuta. Morocco is right now trying to get people from other African Nations to stay in Morocco and make a living there instead of going to Europe because it loses its own people to Europe. They also try to get Nigeria on board to build a gas pipeline and is planning a new port in the South which would finally get Burkina, Mali and Chad out of the land lock situation. The ECOWAS countries are still following France against their own neighbours. Of course Morocco does it also out of own interestes but still it shows that your skin doesn't determin who your best friend is. Overall Morocco is an African nation but with multiple heritages that are pulling in all different directions.>> <<@ATSdream says : This is normal>> <<@chjj9371 says : Zack first video of yours I've seen. Great job, more so than "almost a scuffle", your vid gave a lesson in sociology/geography/internal African relations. That dust up was nothing compared to sports in US and many orher countries. Wow, maybe Africa is not as crazy warlike as portrayed in western media. I wish skin color bias would cease, but dont hold your breath. As far as the game, ruling comittee got it right for a change: "Hey coach, worry about your own players".>> <<@biafrawatch9604 says : These north Africans and their claim to Arab identity is a confusion we have to deal with, especially as we know Arabs are not native to Africa>> <<@Manager007-m00 says : As Somali Muslim, I am very sad about this, I can't tell what happen, its like the Congo player seems like the one telling the truth, but its hard 2 see from here, but why will a black player lie about racime, that don't happen a lot,so I thinks the gongo player is right>> <<@osasechi244 says : Its football not soccer.>> <<@bridgebattle says : The Moroccan coach is very touchy feely and he does this as motivation for players sometimes aggressive aswell to push the players, for me he is very respectful to the opposition all of the time and very humble in all his playing and coaching career there has never been a issue of race and he has played and coached in different places with all peoples. As a Moroccan I can tell you when a person shakes your hand and doesn't look you in the eyes it is very disrespectful but I also have to be fair and say the coach should have never approached the player and interrupted his prayer he should have known better and just congratulate players that approached him instead.>> <<@zaa3515 says : wish all Africans can see themselves as one people so we can unite Africa continent to be one.>> <<@Jamie-o1m5z says : That’s why I am surprised South Africa is leading the fight against Isreal and standing with these Arabs. Most of them don’t see sub Saharan Africans as beneath them or like animals. It doesn’t help with their religion that also say disparaging things against blacks in their holy book. We should focus on ourselves and mind our business Go to Dubai and see for yourself how blacks Africans are treated over there, it will make you sick>> <<@nickwest5936 says : About Congo fighting another Congo it’s r lie bruh those r our brothers en we love em to death abt North countries issue bruh I stopped being r Muslim just because the way they conduct themselves it’s totally different from what Quran says it’s sad 😢 but VIVA Africa 🫶🏾>> <<@babytigheyes says : What your tought about Gayton Mackanzi from South Africa?>> <<@abzigwe3656 says : Congo players where moving slow. He wasn’t having it and it escalated. The coach should have known better, imo it is the coach fault. The deeper issues your talking about I feel like the time the west moves out the devil moves out Africa I got love for ALL my African brothers and sisters!! ❤>> <<@ALMAHDl says : we can tell that the first words the moroccan head coach began to say in french is : "Regardes moi" which means look at me. I, indeed, find it disrespectful to say hi and pull in out the hand with that manner while looking elsewher, it translates as "i don't respect you, you don't have any importance to me .." but God will judge and he will punish for dishonesty and disrespect>> <<@adb-624 says : Qualify for world cup?>> <<@Izemrasen. says : We Moroccans do not view ourselves as superior; we identify as Africans and recognize black Africans as our brothers. Many black people live happily and safely in Morocco, and we share deep fraternal and historical ties with Sub-Saharan countries, such as Senegal, Mali, Gabon, or Ivory Coast. However, as you mentioned, like in any country, it's not perfect, there is a minority that is racist which I completely condemn. Concerning Boufal's statement during the world cup, as a Moroccan, I was particularly irked because he dedicated it to Arabs not only without mentioning Africans but even Berbers which constitute a good part of the Moroccan society. I, for one, am not Arab despite being Moroccan. It's important to acknowledge the diversity within our own nation and not exclude any group when discussing identity. Finally, I completely align with you in saying that we should unite as Africans and stop constantly returning to the narrative of superiority/racism, be it in one direction or the other. Because, in this context, it has never been the actual subject; it's just a heated discussion between a player and a coach at the end of a long match in a hot day (refer to the coach's explanations 😉)>> <<@fsen. says : No matter what moraccans remains champions✌🏾>> <<@rootsandroutes-u6h says : North Africans don't see themselves as Africans, they feel superior to us, and more than often look down upon black Africans, but it's not surprising since they are not ethnically from Africa, they came to Africa from the middle east when the Persian empire rose to power. Now they claim North Africa as their ethnic land lol. Africans seriously need to wake up. It's crazy that no matter where you go on this planet, you will be looked down upon simply because you are black, yet we welcome these outsiders with open arms, we let them stay with us, we give them freedom of worship, we allow them to buy land and do business freely, but they don't give us the same freedom we give them, they only do that if you convert or change your culture to theirs, mind you they still came here and imposed their culture and religions on us to the point we no longer know who we are anymore. They have used Christianity and Islam to subjugate, brainwash, whitewash and destroy African cultures and faith and that's the TRUTH!!>> <<@the_gunners says : I supported Morocco and loved since the Qatar world cup but due to that i now don't wish Morocco to win the cup,let those who feel african win the African cup.let God keep our brothers Nigeria strong just incase Morocco reaches the semis and incase they reach the finals let they meet the mighty Senegal🦁👑>> <<@kimberlyscott2033 says : The morroccan coach is lying!!!!!!!!!! he said something racist!>> <<@IlyassBendaoud-r5v says : As a Moroccan I wish that this thing never happened really sad thing, the goach is really good person and respected one in morocco he is known for his kindness and goodness I know that because l,m big fan of football, and All the respect to the brothers in Congo🇨🇩❤💙🇲🇦Africa must be united to face the real enemy we all know who 🙏>> <<@charlesirby1643 says : As a black American Muslim who has spent time in Morocco. I don’t think most Moroccans are racist but there are a few who openly will spew hatred. Moroccans do have a preference for their own people. I don’t have an issue with that. Generally they don’t think a woman with dark skin is attractive . I’m an Arabic speaker. My brother has a Moroccan wife. I’ve spent time with Moroccans. They are very temperamental hot temper. I’m not sure what happened. There are cultural nuances. If someone didn’t make eye contact or refuse to shake my hand poor sportsmanship I would find it disrespectful. Western societies people are big on making eye contact. Shaking hands etc. I think the Congolese guy overreacted. It wouldn’t shock me if the Moroccan coach said something nasty.>> <<@ALLINONE-ql1it says : Just that Muslim simply means a believer and follower of God Almighty, and with that explanation many Muslims also believe they're Christians because no Muslim is a Muslim if they do not believe in Jesus and his teachings,so many Muslims like myself also consider myself as a Christian by the interpretation of a follower of Jesus P.b.u.h,so I don't think people should go hard on Sofian, but in all God knows best and He knows all thats hidden in hearts of every living thing🖤>>
