Since I got the OP12, I haven't seen a good reason to upgrade, never turned on high performance mode. The Samsung did require a DIY battery change, at about the 2.5 year point. I would've kept using my Samsung if not for its camera's focusing mechanism beginning to stumble with close in macro shots. I use my phone to demo digital authentication technology, so the GS10+ could no longer deliver on this requirement after years of use. As for the OP12...it really is impressive. I do like the similar form factor to my S10+, with the curved edges. Since I always use both a case and screen protector, the curved panel is a non issue. Frankly, the old S10+ is still like mint, after 5+ years of daily use, because I kept it in the case...always. In terms of battery life...incredible upgrade with the OP12. With the Android 15 upgrade and reported camera refinements, it appears the OP12 camera software has become considerably more competitive with the traditional market leaders (Samsung-Galaxy, Google-Pixel, Apple-iPhone). I have not put the camera through a full battery of tests (I am a bit of an amateur hobbyist when it comes to photography)...so far it has not disappointed. My OP12 set me back ~$670 (with VAT) for the 16GB/512GB black variant. The battery doesn't seem to last as long and the sound with ear buds isn't great. The cameras have never been wonderful. The Samsung high contrast, saturated color can be weird. So I got the S24 Ultra. And sent it back the next day. The screen was so dim and it had such annoying AI, so intrusive. I could have turned it all off, I suppose, but then why pay for all that AI. I got the Plus One 12 today and it's great! I wish I could find a better calendar and weather app. But the camera is just fine and the cell reception in my rural place is much much better than the S23U. Thanks for this video.
