It’s like you salvage so much and refuse to grab the rest before leaving the area. In a game where salvaging provides key ingredients for creating just about anything for your survival or provide collectible trophy items for objective goals in the storyline or sellable items to make money off of, looting anything and everything should be your second priority. Why not just make THAT the text? Why do they always make the text something NOTHING AT ALL like the actual lines that follow it. I get that Sophie answers the "Why did you want the crystals?" question, but that's not the question Aiden asked. He asked why Barney bailed. The answer should've been something like "Barney is distrustful of outsiders.
