It has definitely brought a new perspective and dimension to my perception of faith and sense of meaning.>> <<@ManoloJordan317 says : Valuable conference/speaking>> <<@zabbachiythbarboseh3777 says : 10:57 "...The sacrifice of Christ is the pattern of what made that possible." One of the most profound things Dr. Peterson has said. But we've lost the concept of truly following that pattern...2,000 years later. But what does it mean to be a living sacrifice? It means that in all our ways, we submit our will to The Father's will and overcome our baser human inclinations with the desire to please Him through our obedience to His Instructions. This does not mean to suppress all our mortal desires to become a monk living in the asylum of a monastery, but taking those desires and submitting them to their proper place, again, according to His Instructions. It is not a sin to desire a mate, but how we manage our temptations in the process of doing so, needs to be brought into submission. It is not a sin to pursue a career, but how we behave in the performance of that needs to be brought into submission. We walk as mortal, but our spirit ascends to unite with The Father's Spirit to let Him guide us in all our activities. The devil doesn't MAKE you do anything, but presents the opportunity to do wrong. Each time we choose to do right, we defeat him and grow stronger in our walk of belief. Faith is something we hold onto regardless of our sin state. Belief is something we walk in KNOWING our sin state has been washed clean and we choose to keep it that way.>> <<@BlackRoseChristian-2_18_38 says : Its hard for me to read the deuterocanonical books because of the geographical blunders like misplacing kings in Assyria when in fact they was in Babylon and so much more>> <<@fenyxvalerii2826 says : This was fantastic! It's been a crazy 8 years...>> <<@PrimitiveOverland says : The commercials are endless. I hate them>> <<@johannesdekoning3765 says : Man, Jordan Peterson is such a comedian. And, at that time there were approximately 1,800 tribes in North, South and Central America, 600 to 1,000 tribes in Australia, 10,000 inhabited islands in the Pacific Ocean and tens of thousands of tribes in Asia, Europe, and Africa which didn't receive those commandments. They also didn't receive the news of a savior in the Jewish religion, or the message of the Prophet Muhammad.>> <<@singwithpowerinfo5815 says : Christians of all stripes love Jordan Peterson. For them, his atheism is the greatest secret on earth. By virtually every traditional definition of the word atheist, JP is an atheist. Jordan loves to flatter and cajole Abrahamic types because he makes a lot of money off of them. Also, he’s losing more and more credibility outside of Christianity. Christians love their celebrities because they desperately want to be affirmed in their primitive, superstitious beliefs. Jordan realizes that they are stupid enough to pay for him to tell them what they want to hear.>> <<@ALOISC1 says : Ask an abstract question. Get an abstract answer. Fr. Schmitz I don't think that was a good question, from my point of view.>> <<@racheldardenbennett1 says : Respectfully, Dr. Peterson might read the Bible more. If he did, he might stumble on these and mull them over: “My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.” 1 Peter 3:15-16 “Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him.” Proverbs 29:20 ESV “Be not rash with your mouth, nor let your heart be hasty to utter a word before God, for God is in heaven and you are on earth. Therefore let your words be few.” Ecclesiastes 5:2 I respect Father Schmitz immensely. He listens with humility and when he speaks, it is by faith. Bishop Barron is a beacon of depth and reveals a life of introspection on God’s word. I did appreciate some of what Dr Peterson had to say, even though I wish he’d been more equitable, particularly what he said about sacrifice: 43:45. I am grateful to all three of these men for this robust and important discourse on the Bible and Jesus. May they feel the peace of Jesus as they faithfully serve Him.>> <<@ES355AW says : This was great, but it really needed an Evangelical Protestant to even it out, not two Catholics. Search your feelings, you know it to be true>> <<@ES355AW says : The answer to how are we most created in God's is here: in our ability to see, and think in terms of metaphors. Without metaphors, all religion, all theology, all sermons, all would collapse.>> <<@ES355AW says : The Bishop is more like a typical Catholic, as he's always pulling out Latin phrases to state simple things, for it makes him sound superior to laymen. Sad, for the Shepherd's are called to speak to the sheep, not pomposly speak in a language they dont understand in order to inpress the sheep. But, that's been the traditional Catholic way for over 1500 years for sure.>> <<@jeannettejordan7104 says : Lying destroys trust. Trust is a necessity of relationships.>> <<@judyrioflorido7833 says : This is such an amazing panel. As a Catholic who renewed her faith from the new age spirituality practice, which encourages "self-serving" perspective about everything, putting God in the center of my life gave me peace, contentment, satisfaction, happiness, and desire to serve others that I used to chase. It was the best decision that changed my life. It is transforming me by taking away all of my earthly desires and aligning the desires of my heart to the teachings of Christ. It's truly amazing. He is extremely versed, no doubt, but seems very competitive, in that he would barely let the priests state their points. Father Mike said much more by listening patiently and being of good cheer, even when he was cut off. On a more positive note. Thank God for men like these. We need many more valiant giants of the faith who are willing and able to bring Christ so brilliantly to all cultures.🙏🏼>> <<@soph8164 says : I don’t know why but I find Fr. [COMMENT: In addition, GOD said "for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die". Why did they not die?] JP: "One of the errors I think that religious people make, and I think this is more on the Protestant side of things although Catholics aren't immune to it, is that is to announce that if you know if you merely believe that Christ defeated evil that somehow culminates in your complete salvation. And that strikes me as highly improbable." [COMMENT: Maybe the death GOD speaks of is not physical but spiritual/eternal? Maybe this death is related to an eternal Judgment? And what if there's more than one eternal Judgement? Wonder if salvation is understand in two senses... from the penalty of sin (Great White Throne) but also from the power of sin (Bema Seat Judgement)?] RB: "What begins with Israel comes to a kind of climax through the cross and resurrection. We're now in the last act of a five act play. I would say creation, followed by the Fall, followed by Israel so God's rescue operation, Israel coming to its climax in the coming of the Messiah, and now act five we're in which is the mop-up work now we join the army of the Messiah" [COMMENT: Love RB. But what about the other two 'acts' not mentioned... the 1000 year Millenial 'Kingdom of Heaven' Jesus speaks of in Matthew and the eternal state after that?]>>
