Truth is, the heat has to go somewhere. Earth is heated up by the sun more and more with the higher amount of "greenhouse" gasses than what it sheds. Earth does "vent" off heat into space, but we are trapping heat above the threshold it does. Using space ice or freezing stuff will do nothing to cool the Earth at all. This is why switching away from carbon rich fuels to things like nuclear power and using hydrogen makes more sense. Problem with nuclear is that people fear it because they barely understand it, and hydrogen is a bit hard to produce in large quantities. Using solar, hydroelectric and geothermal to generate hydrogen is a solution. But the REAL problems are that companies are all about profit, not "saving the planet" or more accurately preserving humans. They greenwash stuff, deceive their customers and overall manipulate data to make it seem like their products are eco-friendly. So do not trust companies that claim they are offsetting their carbon footprints. That approach is a fail. This is also why the rich elite that own these companies (with some exceptions) do not want an educated population, they go after public school system, after federal student aid, and will do anything in their power to make people learning critical thinking skills.>> <<@AxionSmurf says : nice musical outro. We don't say "I melts at 13000°C" because Earth is moving around barycenter of Solar system and center of galaxy. We say melts/freezes around 0°C so saying that ice on a comet is "thousands of degrees" is really misleading. Further more hypothetically if we did that we wouldn't slam comet into earth but slow it down thus "cooling" it.
