By design.. it is away from themselves when the pull the blades apart with arms in front (given they are holding the curve shape such that it will follow the natural curve of the arm movement). As this design is a spring knife it is legal, just like the pocketchete, but even cooler. Also cool is that it is so small that it will be easy to carry with you. So I hope it will get a real product soon - what about creating a kickstarter project for it?
