When we interact with people being people and the reality of outcomes that produces - statistically, the best we can expect is grinding it out somewhere just barely above break-even with ourselves, the climate, and the economy. We can just kinda of watch in horror to see if we're very marginally on the right side of that equation. If not, then the whole thing will go down the crapper in maybe 100-300 years. Typically humans discover or innovate something that has that curve deviate a bit more upwards periodically. And horribly, if that advantage we carve out through discovery or innovation is too large, then the gap is rapidly exploited for profit, and it goes from perhaps the thing that could have made the difference, to a blip. A Blip which ends up being normalized to make almost no difference long-term. Can we out-innovate human capacity to turn even utopia into a for-profit enterprise? Perhaps that's the final question and dilemma? And if not, the result is certain catastrophe. Will our robot overlords force the outcome for us? The spectacular rise in energy prices in Germany was caused by Russia's unilateral decisions to first withdraw from energy supply agreements and then attack Ukraine in Feb 2022, which caused German cheap natural gas imports from Russia to implode. It was a plain supply shock. It is true that at the same time carbon dioxide pricing has been brought on the way however he mixes correlation and causation.
