You think you have ridiculous knife laws there, then try ours here in Australia! I just had a look at the legislation, and in my state of NEw South Wales, I cannot carry any sort of blade, be it fixed, folding, gravity, locking, etc. even a piece of broken knife blade, on your person and in a public place, is a no-no. Unless you have a very good excuse, like food prep in a picnic spot, employment requirement, entertainment 🤔 or religion. Queensland allows non locking folders of 3” and under for personal use, but here in NSW, uh uh. AND if you were to say “ It’s for self protection” 🤣 They’d lock you up! We are not allowed to protect ourselves here, even in our homes. We have to wait for the cops to arrive. When we were kids and were in the scouts we had a sheath knife as part of the uniform, that's long gone now. Sort of wedging itself between blade and the pin. In fact, one of the best folding knives I ever had cost me only five bucks (40 times less than this folding machete). He told me to take care of it & keep it sharp & look for rust frequently on it . He also told me to keep a thin layer of oil on the whole thing just as a precaution & it would last me for a very long time & may outlive me . I bought it for clearing brush from paths when me & my friends went & played paintball . I put a razor sharp edge on it & put a piece of rubber inter tube from a Bicycle over the handle & ruffed it up to get a better grip on it like that sticky rubber they put on stuff so things don’t slip out of your hand .
