Also is wildly incorrect on love can’t be quantified- the most meaningful thing has no meaning, no it’s so large it just subsumes everything and to point to one aspect of it is to exclude another, this is why humans can’t define it by an large and is akin to god or is god as John emphasized.>> <<@johnweigand30 says : God is the protector of our imagination, look at our breathing during rest.>> <<@johnweigand30 says : Meditation is for the soul, of which thought springs forth.>> <<@Johnnymac369 says : They can’t be comfortable in those insane chairs>> <<@adrianhigh4210 says : It is interesting to hear and watch ( body language - hand over mouth etc!??) and what Dr P and Dr McG decide NOT to TALK ABOUT and the subjects they DON"T pursue, usually following one of Dr P's complex "Religious Behavioural Metaphoric Speculative" questions. I have very great respect for both as thinkers, speakers and prophets of what each see as the difficulty Humanity is in. What I think little people like me need are strategies and ways to push against our natural tendency to the comfort rewarded to us by a Human system of living damaged by the effects of machines, money and an easy life, where the easier option is usually taken by default? I could be wrong! A>> <<@amoh5 says : Yes, I think we have a 3 dimensional make up of ourselves. The mental/intellect, the physical and the spiritual/moral which have their own sensory perceptions. When the mental and the physical are connected we have a more mechanical perception of things around us. But when the mental and the spiritual/moral are connected we have a more emotional perception of things around us. As a moralist Christian, I do wonder how some religious people think in a magical thinking way. I'm not saying all miracles such as practical miracles are impossible but there is a fine line between wishing and hoping, which can move people towards realism or unrealism. But I do think we can keep our spirituality/morality grounded/down to earth, without allowing it to float up into the unrealistic realm. As a moralist Christian, I see myself more as a soldier of God and Lord Jesus Christ following the commandments and teachings of Lord Jesus Christ in a regimental way rather than in a dreamy mythological way. I'm not trying to ridicule Christians who do prefer or a drawn to thinking in a dreamy mythological way or say that I'm perfect, but just trying to articulate a road map of how some Christians are drawn towards unrealism and others towards realism. I know we are all involuntarily and innocently exposed to various experiences and environments that can determine our thought processes but I do believe we can ground or earth our spiritual/moral perceptions to protect ourselves against unrealistic thinking. Yes I do agree that my interpretation sounds more like the earthing of an electrical circuit. Like I said, I don't imply that I'm perfect or that I haven't been a victim of unrealistic thinking, I'm just trying to find solutions to life's questions and struggles. All glory belongs only to God and our Lord Jesus Christ, and I do mean that in a spiritual/moral, regimental and down to earth Christian way. It is the left reaching out and precisely grasping which is the tool which allows the piano sonata to be played. Sometimes the left is presented as some lumpen oaf, which I agree it is when it tries to stand as the beingness. However in its own field, eg dexterity, it is a magician.>> <<@KeldanVanLeer says : ” There is no music without tension “ The dynamic between the left and right hemispheres of our mind—each pulling in its own direction—forms the foundation of our ability to perceive both reasonably and holistically. It is not dominance by one side, but rather the creative tension between them, that gives rise to a rich, contextual understanding of the world. This interplay allows us to form not just a focused grasp of individual subjects, but also an integrated sense of meaning and relevance—of how each part fits into the greater whole. This neurological balance mirrors a deeper human truth about purpose, aim, and desire. When we allow ourselves to lean into the things that tug at our hearts—the yearnings that move us—and hold those in tension with their natural counterweights, something powerful is created. Like the strings of an instrument, it is the pull in opposite directions that creates the conditions for resonance. In contrast, when one side overwhelms the other, the string slackens, and the music falls silent. It is within that balance—between desire and restraint, intuition and logic, passion and discipline—that beauty is made.>> <<@PathstoIthaca says : Love Jordan but he needs to let the guest talk without constantly interrupting. Super annoying, disrespectful of the guest, and counter-productive towards constructive dialog that isn't Peterson dominated>> <<@Sharka_heArt says : greetings, years ago i learned that there are "channels" going from the hemispheres to the hands, they go across the body, as the right hemisphere is connected to the left hand and the left hemisphere is connected to the right hand, the act of Writing is a big part of activating the hemispheres.. to connect the dots, it all make a sense in todays' world which functions mostly by the left hemisphere, writing with the right hand from left to right direction, as in the ancient times the languages were written from right to left, where writing with the left hand would make more sense, and that would also explain why ancient cultures were much more spiritually and intellectually advanced than we are today.. yet even today we can see that left handed people are more artistically and spiritually gifted... thank you 😊 much love and blessings from Czech ❤>>
