Two points though .. The deeper you dive the less powerful it will be! And .. we don't shoot fish because we hate them ... we want to eat them!! So there has to be a way of securing the spear to the gun, ( usually a line on a dispenser, on the gun, conjected to the rear of the spear.) And the spear must have extending barbs so the fish cannot simply swim off it !!
