The definition of peaceful protest does not include occupation on public property. If they marched up and down the sidewalks waving their signs and chanting slogans, they would have been left alone but instead they chose to block the streets with trucks and harass the businesses and resident around them for hours on end with their horns, That is not a peaceful demonstration. I noticed a large amount of Trump flags. I could smell American cigarettes. I listened to the small gathered crowd and heard nothing other then the word freedom. I do know it closed down many "just in time" businesses that employ thousands here in Windsor. These obviously weren't working people. Protesting in no way should ever include large vehicles blocking a cities economy. People lost days of pay off their pay cheques because of these selfish diluted people. This regime was an arm of a small , militant, aggressive bible belt Aryan sector. Christian nationalist type people, Proud boys (from same place). Lawless, selfish, short sighted and arrogant. The trucking industry did NOT support this small regime with 90% vaccinated. Glad it's over and am glad the United People of Canada were finally escorted out of the former church building in Ottawa , after failing to legally uphold their financial contract to purchase. They squatted in place but were forced to finally be removed. It is sad to see the distraction of the family, men and women are divided, children and parents are divided, friendships are divided due to political wars pressed on us by the media. There are black communities and white communities, why are we divided? Why? How can we work on helping those that are marginalized if we continue to buy into mainstream media’s agenda to divide and invoke fear and hatred? We are stronger in numbers! As we continue to divide and hate each other because the media tells us we do, there are people that are suffering! There are entire communities that are suffering and this divide and hate is only prolonging their suffering! How can we improve our current system and flaws if we are all being spoon fed to concentrate on the past and on our differences? We are all unique individuals, why do we need to take the uniqueness of every individual and squash it by putting ourselves into “like” groups? I don’t want to be put in a box and categorized by my sex, race, political views, etc… I am a human being and am unique, so are all my fellow citizens. They are the ones that are responsible for the deaths, illness, and economic dislocation. You want the world to return to what it was like before CoVid? Pretending the disease doesn't exist doesn't work. Pretending that politics is the problem doesn't work. Vaccinating everyone is what works. It's the only thing that works. In this same time, I had recieved two 'Amber Alerts' on my phone. Made me think, I dont watch news, listen to the radio. I was in Ontario, Quebec and near Ottawa in the month of February. I did not see an authenic announcement of the Emergencies Act, yet in this time received Amber Alerts. So what does this mean? Means, the non protesters were alerted, those who believe in the biased news sources were alerted. Those who do not watch or listen to the mainstream media were not informed. Was there a public address? Was the house of commons in session prior to February 14th? Like in the USA state of union address made by Prime Minister Trudeau? Again, if a tornado, or a missing child is in motion. I get an alert. When the country is in a state of emergency. I have no notice, no means of conviction..... The delivery of the deliverance of the Emergencies Act was biased and directed to deliver a message to those who were not affected and who were at home? Just a thought. Please discuss. As much as I agree with Benjamin, and the value his roll and amazing ethics were in everything, I think it was a little naive to think that he could roll into Ottawa with a bunch of truckers and a “freedom convoy” and expect that a full blown communist dictator was ever going to give an inch. And although be had very simple demands and kept expectations low, tried to keep things from getting “too political” as not to “poke the bear” so-to-speak, and kept everything very civil and above the belt, treading as lightly as possible so that they weren’t found asking too much….it still didn’t matter. What good did asking nicely for very little do? I’m sure that I’m not the only one that seen the final result coming before the first trucks even showed up in Ottawa…of law enforcement becoming “Mr. Castro’s private SS” and a desperate & scared Coward-Supreme turning Canada into a police state.. I just hope Benjamin sees now that what he asked for was never gonna happen and asking for his two demands of the prime dictator was about as irrelevant to the real problem that needs addressing as asking a fresh amputee about the paper cut he had on his lost limb. The demands are very frugal and short sighted when presented before the much bigger issues that lies beneath the surface of things like vaccine mandates, state owned media, etc. And most of the rest of the world feels our pain and the hidden agendas that keep them under the same thumb as us. The international freedom movement that the truckers sparked proved that without question. So as much as it would be nice to be rid of vaccine mandates..which I’d say the majority of the country made their stance very clear on..it doesn’t matter and is, in a way, irrelevant because it’s vaccine mandates and passports today…something else just as oppressive and communist tomorrow. Protest the little problems that make our life inconvenient all you want but it’s illuminating the fact that our freedoms are illusions that we really want to do..and it’s def felt on a lot more than two fronts! The problem is a government with a very deep and troubling agenda. For every problem we see, there’s so much more of it we have no clue about that we can’t see. So again, these problems run so much deeper and broader than “vaccine mandates & passports”. These problems are the RESULTS of much bigger and much more serious problems, problems that essentially have Canada’s government acting as a communist dictatorship..and I dare anyone to argue differently after witnessing the supreme leader steal CHARITABLE DONATIONS and violate NUMEROUS laws as he invaded and stole from personal bank accounts across the country, and seeing that same dictator initiate the Emergency Act that gave him the power that every dictator craves. And who, especially can argue we’re anything but, after witnessing the recent scenes across Ottawa as police openly beat and abused the very citizens that pay them to “serve and protect” them, like full-on tyrannical & traitorous pigs. Yes pigs. A term that might seem derogatory, but really isn’t because they aren’t “law enforcement”..as they weren’t enforcing any “laws” I’ve ever heard of..and especially weren’t doing it in a lawful manner if they were. This as they covered their faces and refused to give their badge numbers out..proving that they’re nothing more than honor-less petty criminals harboring god complexes, when they don’t have to answer for their actions and can act as they choose with anonymity. Guess it’s time to ask that million dollar question that I’ve been asking since the Freedom Convoy rolled through my town on it’s way to Ottawa.. “What happens when the self proclaimed dictator of Canada proves he’s just that and the convoy does no good and they’re refused their demands?? Sure word got out and it got people talking and asking questions World-wide…but many of us have been talking and asking the very same questions for almost a decade now..ever since this joke took power three terms ago. We were asking the same questions when he was paying his terrorist cronies 11 million dollars a piece with tax dollars so he didn’t have to pay them out if his personal account “for shady services rendered”…while he played it off like there was some ethical reason he had to pay them and “they deserved it in damages”. They were murders, one openly admitting to killing an American Delta Force medic so he could get sent to Canadian custody and fell under ‘ol Trudolph’s jurisdiction. Everyone knew it was a load of garbage. And now he proves that he has absolutely ZERO political and moral consistency as now he considers TRUCKERS terrorists…well if they’re truly terrorists Mr Trudeau, shouldn’t you give them all 11 million dollars for the wrongful treatment that your government inflicted upon them?! I mean all terrorists should get 11 million dollars under your government, especially since you’ve clearly proved that the ones convicted of murder DEFINITELY do! The stupid idiot is so far all-over the map it should be embarrassing to him…but it’s not because he’s the “supreme leader” and the supreme leader never makes mistakes. And even when the moron was giving terrorists 11 million dollars a piece for killing allied soldiers, even back then, those of us who had a clue were saying, a dictator’s gonna do what a dictator’s gonna do, so as unethical and as embarrassing as it makes anyone feel to be Canadian with an idiot like him running the country, and even as absurd as almost everything this tool does, is…what can we do about it?! So my question remains…we all know about our massive problem in Ottawa. What are we gonna do about it when he just rewrites laws to justify it every time he breaks one…which is almost all of the time now? What’s next for the oppressed people of Canada that just get “put in their place as the compliant slaves they’re supposed to be” every time we protest injustice at the highest level now. People should be very scared……and if they aren’t, they’re dumb. Or EXTREMELY naive.
