the "poor" are voiceless, so when the progressives can weaponize them against the right, claiming to have the "poor's" interests at heart...there is no voice to challenge their claim other than those who attempt to use facts and stats against the absurdities. Unfortunately, as long as the left controls media, the narrative will always vilify any reality - while the "poor" they claim to represent ride a bumpy road to worse and worse conditions.

Why do Lomborg, a political scientist, and Peterson, a psychologist, think that they have more expertise to talk about climate change than....well....actual climate scientists? Invite one of these for an actual discussion and then see how it goes. That doesn't mean that he's wrong about everything, but it's strange to NOT have this important debate with someone who actually researches these things and knows what he's talking about.

Bjorn gets in his horse of Carbon Tax. But William Happer physicist (w vann Wingaarden) has MEASURED the warming of increasing atmospheric CO2 gas in two recent paper (plus a third relatively simplified version) shows the curve flatlining (Beers law). And therefore there is no “heroic gain” in demonising CO2 or in taxing it. On the contrary, the net fertilisation benefits of added CO2 is greater than the negative impacts.

The way i understand this argument is that it is almost all about the efficiency and compleat cycle of things. By efficiency i mean if I'm producing electric cars and up against Tesla i need to deliver same or better car for lesser cost to myself this way i will beat Tesla and it will not be question of initial capital or amount of infrastructure it will be question of time. By compleat cycle of things I mean not to stop when my car has been sold and then I don't care, i mean are the end of life of that car it has to ho back to the same basic elements that car was constructed from. In other example if would mean if I was a farmer it would mean to have closed loop production environment that would not contaminate soil and ground water around my farm that would be self sustaining with minimum imports and that my exported produce would have as short of logistics chain possible with real data on consumer benefits (amount of actual vitamin and mineral probiotics mass and health benefit). Because in todays world everything revolves around profit and unfortunately science is structured in such a way that it gets sponsored only for projects that have potential to bring profit and unfortunately stops at the other side which would be risk assessment. Example would be pesticide that is cheap to make works very well, sold... Not until several years later do we find out that it is also responsible for deaths in beneficial insects like bee's. So overall it is not desirable product for me as a farmer. In fact when that product was developed it should have been tested on beneficial insects and it should have been tried for results on human health, then maybe it could be properly finished and then sold.

Before Trump imposed the taxes on China it was completely unfair trade market between the US and China because China imposed huge taxes on the U.S. The effect… product came into the US with little or no tax imposed but it was very expensive to move product from the US to China. These are important points that he missed.

At the moment, too many people in the west cannot heat their homes, buy adequate food, or pay their mortgage/rent. I highly doubt that they’re going to buy the point of view that they’re somehow getting richer. I don’t buy that myself. I’m concerned about food availability, supply chains, manufacturing, pharmaceutical availability, the integrity of the grid, the availability and/or affordability of gasoline, natural gas, and pretty much everything needed for survival at the moment. This conversation took place only a year ago. At this juncture, we’re going to see tens of millions of people in the western world either starve or freeze to death this winter, and this situation was manufactured, manipulated, and purposed to effect depopulation and the destruction of the western economy. This IS the end of the world for (ultimately) billions of us.

The problem I see with climate change is that so much resources wasted might lead to a significant rise of political parties opposed both to capitalism itself and to any rational solution of this problem (because hey, we spent so much bazilions of dollars on it and it did NOTHING!). Surely Peterson should focus on this harder in the next interview, should there be any. As of now, best of luck to both of you!

I'd say instead of focusing on the problems, focus on what societal system would be the right "tool" to solve them. I'm working on that, my life goal is finding a better system. That is because I can not see how logic, science or reason has a place in our current systems. Our current systems of organizing society are erratic, irrational and emotional and that's not how you solve problems.
