So in a sense while it's disgusting what Britain is doing, can anybody be surprised....No, it's thier nature to be this way, but to have at least one African country step up to accept these people may be needed. A Black country as refuge for Black people, and I don't blame Rwanda for accepting money for it, I mean why let Britain off the hook so easily. Said money can partially be used to help development in the host country and help facilitate these newcomers into Rwandan society. Now here's the caveat, Rwanda now needs to be properly prepared to facilitate this influx of people so as to avoid a "welfare state" situation from arising, these people are going to need a place to stay, education/re-education, and etc....Rwanda needs to handle only what they can handle regarding the number of these people. It is my greatest dream to see Africa at such a point, that none of its people need go ANYWHERE to have a decent life, ultimately crushing this imbecility that Europe and the U.S. are so great people should die trying to get there. The best way to make oppressors pay for their past and current transgressions, is to make them irrelevant in your life...to not need them, and ultimately make them beg at your feet to acknowledge them. So I don't completely wrong Rwanda for doing this deal, I just hope they are careful. But need we be reminded what this tiny African country went through in the 90s....to reach a level NO ONE thought possible, this is not an easy feat considering the current government inherited a post genocidal war torn welfare state....barely recognizable by todays standards. Perhaps it can be an example for other African countries. I say all this with the understanding that before one can think of helping others, the must first be able to manage themselves, and that no country is without fault but we must try. I do understand how the Africans feel but, in this case where does it all end before the UK sinks into the sea and also one must think about diseases one gets from overcrowding. I honestly dread to think where the world will end up in another 10 or 20 years from now. The older people in the UK are glad their lives are coming to an end. I am a UK expat living in SA. In the UK I have a relative who needed an operation not life threatening but, continual pain she does have pain killers which help the consultant handling her case basically talked her out of having the operation because he is overwhelmed with migrants needing attention and the government say the migrants come first. So the UK is a total mess. Its starting to look like a third world country with sheds and shacks where people are living. One thing to remember is the money will not last forever so what happens when there is non left. The working class will tell you they haven't benefitted from the colonial era, if people want to migrate to the UK in the future all I can say is their own countries must also be in a mess. You may ask why I'm in SA it's because my husband had a job offer because at that stage SA didn't have enough electrics qualified so he took that chance. I was in the UK for 3 years but, when I asked the local council if I could have accommodation I was told I'm not entitled to anything go back to where you came from. So we've been back 3 years now. That's how the UK treats it's own citizens who have paid into the NHI.
