This is cool and all but it does it actually help. What Id emphasize is the practice loop of attempting to answer, failing, AND THEN reading and studying why you were wrong with a specific section of the book. You learn from correcting errors not from reading alone. So when people say "just read this book and you'll learn apologetics", they are not giving you everything you need to do. Not flashcards, not only only reading, but practice. Example" Start with a practice response to something like "The Bible has been changed and mistranslated over and over again." Then, in under 45 seconds, answer while recording yourself on your phone. Then stop. Write out your response on paper so you can also see your words . Then look at a good answer (from Wes Huff, Frank Turek, etc.) and wrote their answer. Compare your answer to theirs. And also grade according to criteria. Was it under 45 seconds (like how a conversation would be)? Did you cite historical facts to back it up? Did you say um? Etc . If you don't check those boxes try again trying to fix one at a time. Just keep repeating that. Then eventually you'll master that question.

I joined my local church about 2 months ago and it is dying, 95-98 % of the members are very old , ages of late 50s to late 70s . They don’t have the energy anymore and my heart was broken when I walked into the church and witnessed it. I’ve been praying for the Lord to guide me and to use me in anything , he gave me a vision and now I heard you talking about the a million 1 dollar apologist. ❤ wow ! It cannot be more clear hallelujah!

This woman has made a complete idol of being an 'apologist'. The idea that she is a 'superior' Christian because she has studied what is essentially propaganda is ludicrous. She has made herself her own idol. Her message is completely 'me', 'me', 'me' . Hey everybody, just be like 'me', 'me', 'me'. It's nothing but American Evangelical Huckterism.

1 Peter 3:15-17 But honor the Messiah as lord in hearts. Always be ready to give a defense to anyone who asks you for a reasonfor the hope that is in you. However, do this with gentleness and respect, keeping you conscience clear,so that when you are accused, those who denounce your christian life will be put to shame. For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God's will, than for doing evil.

So important to study and know the word. Just takes a little bit of time and effort to take a little bit of time out of our day to do. Think about how much time you may spend on your TV or computer. Shouldn't we give God at least that much time?

Nigh to an angel of light; the Trinity is a doctrine against freewill. Freewill is integral to existence, and you deny the freewill of our example of the way; Jesus, with this false doctrine making the Father and the Son one singular will, it isn’t intellectually consistent, when Jesus said He did the will of the Father and that was His freewill triumph in overcoming the world and death. Those who choose with freewill to do the will of the Father are those that will see the Kingdom of Heaven.

"God knows it all; you don’t, and you can’t." So... Um,... How do you know that God Knows it all, if "You Don't, and You Can't"? This is laughably fallacious. Master the basics: Learn what is and is Not A Fallacious argument.(see above) Learn one True thing every day: Not just a new thing, but something that is demonstrably true. Focus on what you care about: Seriously? Has Anyone Ever spent their spare time on something that they absolutely didn't care about? Don't neglect your Comparative Religious Studies: If you have reasons why other religions are false, apply them to your own and look at why one matters and the other does not. Admit when you don't know something: The god of the gaps is one of the worst apologetic arguments and one should be embarrassed to fall back on an argument for literally anything. You don't need to 'win' any person or argument: Keep the discussion open and continue the discourse so that everyone involved benefits, regardless of religion. Use all types of media, and be equally critical of all of them: just because you find a source for something doesn't mean it's true. Why we believe what we believe is often as important as What we believe. Don't give up: Closing down communication only isolates a person beyond any meaningful discourse. If you are having open and honest discussions with people doing the same, you will enjoy them, and where those conversations take you in your exploration of the reality of the natural world that we all share.

Romans 6:23 "but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 5:8 declares, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Jesus Christ died for us! Jesus’ death paid for the price of our sins. Jesus’ resurrection proves that God accepted Jesus’ death as the payment for our sins.

Most people you come across that have questions/objections arent looking to have them answered, they are looking to either stump you or make your argument look irrelevant or both and to make you look bad. They dont want answers, they want to be right. I'm not innocent of that either, I want to be right too. It does come from a place of wanting them to see the truth, but I can do it in the wrong ways too.

During the times we defend our faith against unbelievers the Holy Spirit does three things: 1. Convicts of sin 2. Regenerates the individual 3. Illuminates in the Scriptures It might not happen when we talk to an atheist but eventually later on He will do those things in their lives. In Mark 16:15-16, Jesus taught us to preach the Gospel to everyone not save them and is their choice whether they believe or not. They’re condemning themselves to Hell because of sin. We did our part in the Kingdom of God and will be rewarded at Bema Seat of Christ because of our obedience to God to share our faith.

<<@rolandwatts3218

I think it debatable that apologetics is of much use at all, "one million dollar apologist or a million one dollar apologists". If people are feeling fine about things then they are not likely to be persuaded by the arguments of apologists. It's when, for whatever reason, people are not feeling fine about things, for reasons of guilt, or shame, or because of some deep tragedy in their lives, or because they feel lonely, or lost, or without meaning and purpose, or without hope - it's those people Christians need to target. Then it's a message of love, or compassion, or hope that's likely to do the trick, not half baked arguments for why we can trust that Jesus really, really, really did rise from the dead. I've heard people make the point, and I agree, that apologetics is mainly preaching to the choir, to make believers feel good about their belief system from a logical and evidential point of view. In that situation, apologetics is not converting people. I'm not saying that apologetics won't ever work. I suspect it does, sometimes. However, I've also heard of several instances where it's been key to undermining people's faith.

Why is it that apologetics is driven by "arguments" rather than demonstrable facts? And yes, it is perfectly acceptable to say "I don't know" when questioned on a subject for which there is no known evidence.........like the god claim. "Slam down facts like a sledgehammer"?! What facts are there supporting the existence of a god? Facts, not claims. A good defense, as requested in the bible verse you cited, is founded in fact, not assertion.

Life exists therefore God romans 1 that's all you need if people reject it well then they are willingly ignorant and go to hell no need to debate its self evident as explained in Romans 1. The Christians are the ones with the truth and the blessings if people reject it well screw them they have nothing to offer. I'm getting eternal life and a mansion and be with God for eternity no one else offers anything. Peter said where will we go Lord you have the words to eternal life. No other belief system is true or offers me anything so if they don't want to come well screw them that's what God says on the last page of the book..
