Mario 64 on the other hand brings mindless, boring "missions", like racing against a braindead Koopa Troopa, collecting 100 coins in each level (brilliant stuff!) and challenges of platforming that comes down to how much you're willing to wrestle against the godawful camera. The icing on the cake: the games has the same boss fight against Bowser being repeated 3 times, which, in terms of gameplay, is a glorified tech demo for the analog stick.
