It’s the same practice as trying to make consumers have FOMO, yes, but every major tech product maker does that for their LATEST release and have long before AI was the flashy thing. As an Apple user it’s a meh moment for me. Eventually when I upgrade I imagine it’ll give me AI, but I don’t really need or want it necessary. Just like how browsers are adding AI now. For all of Apples annoying faults however, their privacy protection and encryption is not one of them. It’s good for the average Joe who isn’t going to setup their own cloud and run Linux. Arguably Apple’s AI data privacy is better than OpenAI’s record so far. Not saying much obviously but some people are always on team HATE Apple. As someone coming from windows there are definitely some stupid things but it’s a little overblown on the internet.>>
