The notion of perfection (I had this problem too) is unattainable. Just like infinity is unatainable. Messiness is good. Funkiness is good. The Visible Universe itself is warped & non symmetric in it's expansion. Messiness on the largest scale. On a small scale it's like deciding to post an edit far from perfect, uploading it anyway, and getting viral video out of it.

Isabel-props to you for realizing that it is the relationships and moments and memories we share with one another thatโs really important. My husband was diagnosed with a brain tumor 6 months ago and only given 12-18 months to live. We are taking trips and just being present and grateful for each other everyday. โค. Good for you for realizing whatโs really important at such a young age.

Hi, I love your videos and I have been watching them for a long time. I almost never comment, but today I decided to share my little life story, maybe, if you read it, it will resonate. And maybe..it won't, but anyway... I have wanted to live a bit like you do for a long time. I am 25, still studying at uni, but ever since I was a kid I have been dreaming about having a beautiful wild property where I could grow my own food and coexist with animals. But I have decided to study first, also I don't own any land yet and it is kind of difficult to buy land where I could do the stuff I want to. I have been in a relationship since I was 18, him and I, we both had very similar plans about the future. But at a point in my life, maybe about a year or two ago, I started to feel anxious about the future and I always felt unsettled. Like I was never fully there, my mind was never calm. I decided to do study exchange and being away from everything made me feel like I can finally see who I am again. Stepping into the unknown, being surrounded by new people, knowing nobody expects anything from me was very liberating. I came back home and I knew I have to be wild for a bit, so when I am old, I don't feel like I missed something. I knew I owe it to my future kids and husband to feel trully settled once I do decide to...well...settle. I broke up with my boyfriend and even though it hurt like hell I knew I am not doing good by him or myself with staying in a relationship when I am not fully ready for a future together. I started to do things I never thought I would want to...I went clubbing, I got drunk and came home at 5 in the mornings, I put glitters on my face...just stupid shit, but something that felt untamed, something that was different from what I knew all my life. Now that I have been home for some time, my long term plans have not changed, I still want to be a homesteader, a farmer, taking care of nature is my priority. But only allowing myself to get lost, allowing myself to not know what to do NOW, in the current moment as a 25 year old and letting loose has brought me closer to knowing again. In my experience, sometimes we can force ourselfs to settle a little bit too soon. Your insights are very wise and so I feel like you know in your heart what is it that you want. Maybe it is staying where you are and maybe it is something else, maybe it is building a new community, i don't know. We can sometimes put imaginary judgement on ourselfs, but there really is no judge, no judge exists. If you are not purpusefully hurting anyone, then there is no right or wrong. Just..you know...feel the fear and do it anyway. Whatever that might be. I also feel like you are very brave to put your life and thoughts online for strangers to judge and tell you what they think, take whatever you will from my comment, but just know that even though I don't know you, I am rooting for you.

And today I don't know why I watched this episode and when you talked about the present moment and future thinking it's gonna be always better, that's totally me ๐ข I change from places every six months or less, everytime I struggle somewhere I leave.. and now you make me realise that is not how many places you have been who counts, it is just how you feel everydays

Thank you so much Isabel! Iโve been enjoying your videos and your wise words for a few years now and I can relate a lot. All those comments like โyou should appreciate your lifestyleโ and โyou are privilegedโ lalaโฆ well they kind of make me sad. Youโre doing an amazing job always saying your truth and sharing your deep thoughts about your life. I highly appreciate your honesty because every lifestyle has challenges and speaking from a similar experience- itโs always hard when youโre not following the old routes of society, itโs a constant challenge and explanation. Anyway hope youโre doing fine and would love to chat with you one day in real life! Again, thanks for your videos! Always a pleasure to watch them! Greetings from Germany. ๐
