When I got back into golf after almost 2 decades, it kind of blow my mind how high tech some of the stuffs are. Almost unnecessarily so. However golfers have ample disposable income so they are easy targets.

With all this technology is there a potential for a professional golfer to have an ear piece and get detailed, real-time feedback on where to hit his/her putting shot? Then using augmented reality layer in arrows like a Computer golf game suggesting speed and direction? I guess its all possible, with the motivation of money/sponsorship deals.

Nice video. The breakdown of the tech was fantastic, but I have never understood the appeal of golf. I've always found it to be slightly more engaging than watching paint dry...

Really interesting ! Would love some more of this type of content, but I would also like some small glimps into tech that athletes uses for training purposes - just feel like this is also some of the "hidden" tech for normal people :) Thanks for another great video man!

It would be a lot of fun if the PGA could use that data and upload it into something like EA Sports PGA Tour. Then when you play against a tour player you could actually play against directly what shots got them through the day. Will keep an eye out for you at Travelers '25 ;)

Wow! Just WOW! πAs an avid golfer myself, I didn't realize that much of technologies have been put in place to make golf that much interesting to watch (& to experience) these days. Thanks heap for sharing the insightful story -- otherwise people might just take things for granted π. Keep up the great work, man!!

Golf is not 18 different courts to watch the sport, but generally is around three times that depending on the hole. Assuming most pros hit the ball around the same, you watch the tee shot, the iron approach and the putt, each is its own βcourt.β They have cameras etc set up for each, allowing for variations for par 3 and par 5.
