<<@TomBilyeu says : What surprised you most about the Keto diet?>> <<@KarlJesusrules says : @47 mins....yes...the Bible...Creator.....>> <<@rondick6108 says : He sells stuff all over the Internet>> <<@willsmith475 says : Last thing I do is trust a doctors opinion>> <<@grubbetuchus says : Dr. Gundry says that he would like to be considered a trusted source of info. Speaking only for me, if a source is hawking and selling products, then I develop a deep sense of skepticism. Sorry, Dr. G, that’s the nature of the beast. The good doctor doesn’t qualify the studies and papers that he cites, and so we listeners have no clue about the value of said research. Making ketones? Fine and dandy. But why would my body want to use them if I have eaten carbohydrates? You can eat bread, but it might take days to “convince” your body that it is ok to burn fat and ketones, instead. Insulin will not let your body burn fat or ketones.>> <<@borderlandfilms7956 says : weight loss is secondary to me. the main benefit i see when i enter ketosis is mood: my blood pressure and heart rate go down, im much less irritable, much more patient, less anxious and less depressed.>> <<@Roberto-cg2gr says : Brain prefers ketones Dr Connane research in Canada. Brain will use up to 70% ketones if ketones are available>> <<@perrycoton7945 says : Very interesting>> <<@bobmartin3896 says : Bla-bla-bla: even, ir you do not eat processed food, you can eat to many carbs and become/stay obese.>> <<@tommynickels4570 says : Gunthry has been debunked and there are alot of half-truths here. The idea that 89% of obese people cannot burn fat is FALSE. All people burn fat and carbs simultaneously.>> <<@MagruderSpoots says : The Chinese say there are hot foods and cold foods. I didn't believe it until now.>> <<@RobAbdul says : Love Dr. Gundry's glasses.>> <<@danbarrett949 says : Funny he mentions NIH that was the source of gain of function & all the false narratives masks 6ft lockdowns of pandemic. So now ketones bad like eggs bad eggs good I’ve done keto for 7 yrs never felt better especially brain energy/focuse>> <<@stevenrix7277 says : My experience with KETO: in 3 months I lost 102 lbs, that was amazing and scary at the same time, I was eating 1800 calories a day, 80% fat 15% proteins and 5% fat. Then on the 3rd month I started craving for sugar at night time around 3 or 4 AM, I did not know at the beginning but these were signs of hypoglycemia. It took me almost 2 years to recover. The weight I had lost was partially gained in 2 years but not as much, over 40 lbs. So i started the carnivore diet, and it worked out this time for 9 months until I started getting weight and was feeling extremely sluggish, and I had extremely low levels of testosterone (205). I stopped the carnivore diet and my T levels went back up again. I don't know what to do to lose weight.>> <<@richarddoesstuff1 says : i'm super fit, I stick to a rigid calorie counted diet, lean meats, vegetables, salads, no bs food. Every time i've tried to cut, even just to 2000 calories, it has been a complete struggle. Constant food cravings. I was fairly low carb, but always started the day with a big bowl of cereal to fuel me for the gym and ate 2 bananas a day. Now i'm doing it with Keto, once i'm past the first 4-5 days of feeling like trash, i'm solid. I'm on 1700 calories today and i'm not tired like before, not hungry, I ran 8kms and I have energy. I can think straight now because my brain is running properly on fat! Insulin was sabotaging my efforts to get a six pack, now I have the key! I won't do keto forever, I don't think that's healthy long term. But for bursts of 2-3 months, mimicking the winters experienced by hunter gatherers, yes, a strict keto diet is amazing, it shreds fat and makes it easy.>> <<@emmaglover5240 says : im a little confused by this... so uncoupling is a good thing? ..but it means our mitochondira are making less energy and keeping more for themselves than sharing with us? but we live longer with more uncoupled mitochodria ??? So how is uncoupled mitochondria beneficial for us?>> <<@gigitooafoo1243 says : I've learned so much, thanks so much>> <<@gigitooafoo1243 says : So plain black coffee helps with weight loss?>> <<@dreao276 says : If he is saying the brain must be fed glucose or after 8 or so hours neurons start to die would that mean fasting is bad for us?>> <<@NadiWLJ says : Sardinian watching here 😂 us near the sea also eat loads of goat cheese!. You should see how much pecorino I have in the fridge right now LOL My father used to serve us colostrum for breakfast. Us Sardinians by the sea live in more stressful environments, maybe that's why we don't enjoy equal benefits though, I must say, general health levels back home are great all over the island. I became metabolically sick when I worked for a famous fast food company in the UK and ate there every day because I was poor and the food was free for me... If only I could go back and tell me the consequences of my actions.>> <<@Allan-zx3yy says : What sane person would eat animals fish or eggs.>> <<@res1204 says : It IS NOT evolutionary it is how God designed us! How do you expect anyone believe you when you don’t even know where humans came from.>> <<@lauraberkeyheiser6417 says : “We all trace back to one female” (I think her name was Eve.)>> <<@YasminA-jm9zs says : Dr. Gundry is incredible!!>> <<@TheShaggy1966 says : He says about 6,000 years ago we all came from a single woman. I guess I struggle with this knowing that cities like Plovdiv Bulgaria have existed for almost 10,000 years with continuous inhabitants…. Sort of puts that timeline in doubt. But the concept is plausible: a single woman’s mitochondrial dna is in (almost) all of us. I suggest far more testing to prove this hypothesis; to this date there is truly no way to know if in fact there are survivors of another genetic tree.>> <<@TheShaggy1966 says : Well, here I am. A guy who really didn’t believe he could go without breakfast let alone lunch and dinner. Fasting SMOKES keto diet for this diabetic. I have faced the music…started fasting a while back. I eat higher fat and higher protein but not like the ratios on Keto (as I did for a year at one point and never lost weight and had great blood work though). Now I do OMAD 6 days a week and keep to around 1300 cals without feeling hungry. I rotate in 48hr and 72hr fasts and frankly they have become easier and easier. Fasting puts me in ketosis within 18hrs and I mean HARD ketosis (5!). My energy is 3x what it was, my digestive system is beyond great. My blood sugar doesn’t spike when I eat carbs. This is the cure for t2 diabetes and is the easiest method to maintain in my opinion. I am so glad I trusted Dr Sten Eckberg and tried fasting.>> <<@vicjay1972 says : He calls himself a nutritionist. He is absolutely NOT a nutritionist. He is a cardiac surgeon and now generally thought of as a quack that cares about selling books and not much else.>> <<@ernest5171 says : I'm on the don't eat much diet It's been around for thousands of years It works perfect>> <<@OlandriaBlackBarbie says : Wait so let me get this straight because I’m so confused, He says that doing keto for too long is bad because it starts making you loose muscle So he wants you to cycle in and out of keto. BUT HOW? Only eating for 6 hours ? Eating goat and sheep cheese and purple Okinawan potatoes And eating colorful veggies which have the polyphenyl latent?>> <<@FlakeyPM says : What surprises me is that there appears to be no research looking at MCT levels in the milk of different breeds of Cattle. There are plenty stating goat and sheep milk are higher in MCTs.>> <<@kathynewkirk683 says : God I can’t stand this guy. He’s selling products…>> <<@sophieroths says : If you suscripe your microcondria will uncouple 😂🎉😢>> <<@jackwing1949 says : I've been cycling Keto, low carb and intermittent fastening since decades. 63 year old female, fit as f...k, no gray hair, hard physical work every day, gallop racehorses. super blood work-makes the docs sit up every time I get checked. Lately I have also added fermented foods. Can't imagine living of sugar and carbs. I eat them now and again BUT I don't live of it....bullet proof coffee at 4.00 in the morning. Its not uncommon for me to not eat anything until 2 or 3 pm. good 25 eggs per week probably more than a lb of butter.>> <<@robertburatt5981 says : Everyone is sick, fat,--- and stupid.>> <<@MTDixonSr says : All large successful populations of Humans throughout all verifiable history gained a bulk of their calories from starch…not meat. In Asia the people ate rice for thousands of years. The Native Americans ate primarily corn. In fact the NA were known as the ‘People of the Corn”. In the Middle East? Known as the bread basket of the world, not the carnivore basket of the world…ate primarily barley and wheat. In the Andes, the natives ate primarily potatoes for the last 10’000 years. The blue zones prove that KETO and Atkins don’t work. The longest lived peoples on planet earth…centurions, are all plant based. The science is definitive. Thank you Dr McDougall and the China Study for exposing the Keto Lies.>> <<@roadracer517 says : how would a dog food diet work out?>> <<@Spock_Rogers says : Gundry's a quack 🦆>> <<@brianferns2969 says : Eve is true 😂>> <<@samorr4 says : Why Tom do you have A QUACK like Gundry on your show? He mixes good science with an even bigger amount of utter bullshit. But he is very dramatic and persuasive. I would say describing him as a modern-day P.T. Barnum is a fair. You have had so many guests that are infinitely more credible than this man who sells all kinds of products including his own Olive Oil which according to him is the only good Olive Oil.>> <<@natmazkiev says : Tom, why not have Dr Ekberg on instead, far better at communicating..>> <<@natmazkiev says : KETO works, is this guy on drugs or taking kickbacks from Coca Cola??>> <<@fuzzycrib3963 says : Thanks to both of you. This discussion cleared my doubts on time restricted eating.>> <<@KetoMike59 says : love these doctors jumping on board.. Atkins was there way before.. no one listened>> <<@KetoMike59 says : it's now called the modified atkins diet in the epilepsy world>> <<@KetoMike59 says : wow this guy is doing stuff others done long before>> <<@KetoMike59 says : Dominic D'Agostino>> <<@KetoMike59 says : The Charlie Foundation should look it up>> <<@KetoMike59 says : ketogenic diet were first used on type 1's before Insulin.. it added months to years to his life .>> <<@gr.gr.9886 says : I am astonished that the reporter is disrespect wearing this red T-shirt, not sitting properly meanwhile the doctor respected him and us well dressed.
