I would've loved to see OpenMediaVault on this as a NAS build. Sadly, for being ARM-based, the power consumption and price was pretty disappointing though. My Asrock N100M motherboard with N100 CPU, Corsair RM550x (2021) PSU, and a 2.5" SSD draws 13.7 watts on idle. 22.8 watts with Cinebench at full blast with Windows 10. With Proxmox: With an extra SATA SSD, CPU fan, 4 case fans, dual SFP+ NIC, 2 WD Red HDDs, 3 Seagate Exos x18 HDDs, 1 NVMe, and a PCIe to SATA card, it draws 50 watts on idle. 60+ on average when pretty active doing things.>> <<@Rpch26 says : Thanks for this video. Im only a begginer in al about computing. I use linux mint installed in and old laptop (thinkpad) and works fair for basic use on my office (email, wps, youtube). And i see how fan is syaring to fail.... Then Arm tecnilogy (armv) i think could be a good idea. But build or purchase a mini arm pc could be now mire expensive that change my fan or the cpu.... All this technology moment is interesting.>> <<@Mister-Wabbit says : can you add a GPU?>> <<@PlanetLinuxChannel says : On one hand, you could pick up a USB-2 to 3 adapter to hook up the ports on the case, but considering they’d only run at USB 2 speed, and you already have plenty of USB ports on the back, I suppose it’s not a huge deal.>> <<@filipflidr2654 says : It works 'perfectly' and screen tears like an earthquake>> <<@ronch550 says : It's kinda nuts how the board, complete with CPU and RAM, is cheaper than the case. 🙂 And given how the case didn't even have any provisions for a cooler backplate, it's kind of disappointing for the price. Surely Inwin knows that even mini ITX boards can have coolers?>> <<@HomelessTechnology says : Does it run Windows 11 on Arm though? Handling steel and aluminum cable grips at the gym gives you a real appreciation for how light aluminum truly is.>> <<@RHTORAS says : I would love to see video but without ubuntu. I would love to see you installing real linux i.e without systemD. I would love to see Void linux and if not then OpenBSD has great support for all architectures too. I would love to see this too.>> <<@neurabrain says : can i install windows 11 arm on this system? what is the power consumption and TDP of this system?>> <<@TerenceKearns says : This would make a great media centre that can output 8K.>> <<@TerenceKearns says : That is a REALLY NICE unit. Will probably last decades. I think the best comparison would be to do a real-world test. The intel will probably win artificial performance tests. But if you ran Android on there and compared rendering a capcut project, the results would at least be interesting. An android based comparison would be needed as well as a conventional linux distro. Android is more optimised for arm whereas mainstream linux is more optimized for intel based purely on historical usage. I have a Radxa Rock 5B running Emteria Android and it runs nicely. I'm testing it for digital signage applications (it's attached to a Zhixianda 18.5 Inch Sunlight Durable 1000 Nits Capacitive Touch Screen).>> <<@IonCubekhanz says : In chrome://gpu ... go down please & let's us see VPU decoding info>> <<@PrototypeMoxie says : I feel like if you lower the power draw you can probably go past it with that cooler>> <<@paulhetherington3854 says : ARM - Oriental for: "You moved, remember?" ec -- this that -- fire placement!
