Will definitely feel more homey with updated paint to make the house feel more cohesive. A couple ideas: Make the dungeon into a reading nook with cool lights and a comfy chair. Turn the attic space in the master bath into a sauna. Leave the cabinets and tile in the kitchen and change the wall color to an eggshell or some other lighter color to create contrast.
