I've read about single cell prison sentences in the book "Papillon", some guys are locked in a cell with nothing to do at all for years, not allowed to talk, no books, not even allowed to lie down for most of the day and the food isn't healthy enough to make working out worth it. What a horrible existence that must be, but that guy at 23:00 would beat that easily. Imagine thousands of years of that. A day can be surprisingly long, but thousands of them?
