Life has many quotes that have endured and one of them is "you get more X with honey than with vinegar". Thant's not trivial it's been proven throughout time. I would rather be the nice boss and build people and a strong team than waste time looking for the one cutthroat that will outwork me. A team of regular performers will always beat a single superstar and knowing that those are rare to come by, then by the time you find your superstar I would have built my team already and started winning. You have a small time in this life and we are inherently social by nature, I have had the privilege to talk to many wealthy people in their later years and not one of them said they would have spent more time making money, it was always about relationships and family, so go ahead and make yours but be aware that at the end of it all, it will be about the people around you and the ones you helped.
