This bias is omnipresent in social sciences and shapes the representations and relations both at the interpersonal and at the institutional levels. So saying all white people are racists is inaccurate, despite many who identify as such, also upholding racist tendencies [ideas, behaviors]. Almost as incorrect as the resurfacing narrative that "africans sold themselves into slavery" or better yet "africans initiated and controlled the slave trade" despite rejection and resistance being the norm at that time among african kingdoms. However, racism is strongly ties to modern western culture and it does visibly shape the way many institutions are being run: justice [overwhelmingly detrimental to non-whites], discriminations, foreign interferrence [from policies to reduce populations to democratic bombings], to media narratives and representation of stereotypes, to actions by international organizations like the UN [naming sub-saharan countries that are not south to the Sahara because they are mainly black, to changing South Africa's classification as subsaharan or not depending on whether it is ruled by blacks or whites]. In short, it is not accurate to deny people identified as whites, their individuality. However it is true that the culture is predominantly racist and influences many individuals and institutions into normalizing racist patterns of behavior.>> <<@Manikese says : Amazing video.
