<<@attilakrisztianszegedi8008 says : I could not find such app. Is it exists or can you offer any alternatives for Android?>> <<@jplockport1 says : What's the app>> <<@ptechapple says : Amazing I want one. 👍>> <<@cray-z7404 says : Is anything gonna come of this awesome invention>> <<@aaronward4319 says : Good idea to use a smartphone for sight computing. However, with most phones having more than one camera these days I think using stereoscopic distancing would be more effective and a great deal faster than scrolling thru a list. The system would work and a fixed zooms but a varying focus, once the focus was crisp and both pictures line up, you have your distance. Then the only selecting you might have to do would be thru zoom settings, which may also be faster. Just thinking for home defense or hunting fast is better.>> <<@RickyD1968 says : Awesome idea but can you use the 130 lbs adder ???>> <<@valentinadrianandrei7550 says : i think this app is better ........smart scope f>> <<@Foxunderground21 says : What is the name of app? And how can I Get it please?>> <<@ebasguy says : Is the app available?>> <<@DJung22 says : Srevus, Ich denke das ich stelle eine dumme frage aber, gibtˋs dieses App für Apple oder nicht und wie soll Ich das finden 😊 Danke>> <<@vincentwelch7286 says : Brilliant!>> <<@renatocravo9875 says : pretty cool.>> <<@simonblack4203 says : I think Joerg should play Dr. DOOM. "If only his powers could be used to benefit mankind ". Reed Richards (on Dr. DOOM)>> <<@jamesreichardt7573 says : I bet this guy could make special weapons for the CIA , everything he makes has a James Bond feel to it .>> <<@JoelDev says : Today's smartphones mostly have 2 or more cameras, and then can be used as an old coincidence rangefinder, where you align the two viewports to the target, and the angles between those cameras can tell the distance. The problem is that you need some way to rotate one camera without rotating the other, i think that a mirror contraption can do it.>> <<@mihailsaruman1160 says : use a telemmeter with laser>> <<@zoranzuvela9856 says : Some 25 years ago, when i was in army, we used that method for distances on Yugoslavian made optic sights for RPG 7, but measures was tank size and house doors size. Very efective 👍>> <<@chrism7969 says : Rather than adjust the lines you could perhaps have a selector with up and down arrows that gives distance values, with a long press causing the distance to adjust in 10 metre steps and a tap causing it to adjust in 1m steps. So the idea is you visually estimate the distance and use the selecter to incremental to that distance and then use lines to see if you have got the distance right and if not then adjust the distance up or down until the lines fit. Also if it's been used for target practise rather than hunting a voice interface would be nice. So you could train it to react your voice with standard phrases such as "distance 50m" adjust distance + 5m and so on. That way you wouldn't be trying to observe the lines and touch the screen at the same time which looked a bit awkward. Anyway just some suggestions.>> <<@kevindarkstar says : You do realise that by the time you have done all that work those zombies will have eaten your face 😂>> <<@xxARAtaixx says : with the recoil and vibrations of a crossbow, I wonder how long that phone will last.>> <<@TrollingHistory says : But did you hit the heads or did you just hit the backstops no show no go.>> <<@charleschristianson2730 says : To say that most people "instinctively" know an object's range is laughable. I've been shooting firearms my entire life, and bows for a while now. I'm not an expert, but I'd say that I have more experience than the average person. And my rangefinding skills are....not that great. Across varied terrain, against differently-sized objects, range is way more difficult to determine than you'd think. And does it even compensate for shooting uphill/downhill? This would actually be a practical use for this tech, and possible with the sensors already in the phone, but he didn't mention it so probably not.>> <<@lukeaday says : Have you seen the EZV bow sight. I think you will love it>> <<@goidogoi says : Suddenly the transparent smartphone design doesn't seem so stupid afterall. 😂>> <<@MegaYagiyagi says : Your Phone holder just gave me an idea. I own an Ulefone Armor Smartphone with thermal vision. Theoretically I could use it to shoot in total darkness, the App already has a crosshair in the Center to measure Heat. hahahaha. Thanks Buddy for the Inspiration.>> <<@CandidZulu says : Considering that CEO for Nokia claims that Smartphones will be biologically integrated with humans before 2030, perhaps target shooting as a sport is dead?!>> <<@barrysmith5189 says : I'm sold! When is this app going to be available to the public?>> <<@davewhite1184 says : Last addendum I promise; Apologies Joerg for misspelling your name.>> <<@davewhite1184 says : Sorry, meant to say the phones Wi-fi opens up all sorts of remote shooter/ audience, or on-line real time completions!!! AND it solves my original issues in the first chapter of this loooong comment. Thank you Jorg, excellent idea!>> <<@davewhite1184 says : Just come across this ... As a disabled shooter of both PCP air rifles and crossbows , this concept overcomes a particular problem. I'm spinal cord injured which makes it impossible or very painful to correctly align my eye with a properly placed scope. There has to be way ..... High mounts help but introduce unwanted variables. Scope mounted cameras, which have a "nightsight" capability are available but don't offer a "remote screen" function unless used with a phone where connection is possible. I was thinking of building a device using drone FPV kit .... but this so much better - an App that uses the already present camera functionality without interfering with any scope already mounted and sighted in. The phones wi-fi>> <<@RavenWolffe77 says : This is actually how many rifle scope reticles work. They have a set of lines —usually in the corner of the reticle, as it's unused space— that correspond to relative size of an average-height human male. You line up the bottom line with the feet, and the top line with the head.>> <<@nathanbrehm1085 says : Seems fidgety still, but it works for a starting point.>> <<@Gandalf22476 says : Awesome app! Very cool>> <<@FatumAedifico65 says : This guy just makes me happy.>> <<@clairecelestin8437 says : If you used the width instead of the height, you could just draw a funnel shape on the picture such that the width of the funnel at any given elevation corresponds to the angular size of a target at that ballistic distance. Much faster to sight in; no fiddling required.>> <<@Jindujun_TV says : Doesn't exist in any App Store 🖕>> <<@sombojoe says : “Interpolate” between three points, however mistake forgiven for speaking in a different a language. :)>> <<@jimwong1380 says : This aiming method is a fantastic use of Stadiametric rangefinding. It is one of the most popular rangefinding methods for telescopic sights (others being mil/MOA dots and Xmas trees) and is found in many famous reticles. The PSO-1 reticle and the Schmidt & Bender P4L reticle are great examples.>> <<@rexrodecolt says : Thank you, This is great! Maybe even tracking and tagging moving objects for games!>> <<@then00brathalos says : can't wait to see salty rich kids prebuy this and slapp it on to a single shot 50 bmg bolt action>> <<@ryszardmikke says : Is this somehow parametrized with the crossbow's strength?>> <<@snoopysnoop4013 says : Great Stuff👍where can idownload “Never miss“ App?>> <<@floriangruber8005 says : ^^ funny and interesting... but don´t you guess it´s kinda useless for real?>> <<@Davidmesva says : Joerg is the cool uncle everybody wants.>> <<@ITSSSSSthaddeus says : Zoom in with camera on the 48 m target. Easier to see…btw the time it took you to set up the zombies would have eaten you…>> <<@starsoldier3643 says : I think this would work for a rifle too.>> <<@ewhyte8059 says : On a tripod, a 90lb +110 lb draw weight limb combo and a few software user-friendly tweaks and you have a formidable hunting tool!>> <<@mgtowchampion7961 says : Very nice, get it built.>> <<@JohnPeter1940 says : Whats the name of this app ¿ And how I can get it ¿>> <<@hyper_focused_man says : Awesome aim assist tool. But: Imagine if the correction of the blue lines was driven by AI (Artificiell intelligence), and you define to the program what your targets are (🎯, manikins, some animal [if it's legal in your country] then the AI automatically adjust the blue lines fast and easy. That would be an awesome added functionality for this aim assist tool (if it's possible?) As always informative video, and it's always fun to watch the slingshot channel.>>
