Who would fly on a Starship that has returned 3 times? Think of the extreme stresses Starship goes through on re-entry. How long of a refurbishment would it take for a human rated craft to return to flight? Rapid reusability is a pipe dream. Would you fly on its second voyage?

<<@Travesty-qy4hv

Remember, the booster catch was always an acknowledgement that SuperHeavy's 33 Raptors would be underpowered so there could be no landing legs = weight-saving. That massive mechazilla launch Tower serves as the landing legs. So now there's the plan to go to more than 33 Raptors and they'll stretched these vehicles to cram in more fuel, chasing the fix. Many impressive aspects, but not logically thought through before this rapid-iterative move fast and break things engineering. The Raptor engine is one of the most amazing accomplishments in Aerospace this century, and you definitely have to put Starlink in the same category. But being tied to reusability and heavy stainless steel by the Visionary has doomed this Starship venture. Gwynne Shotwell and those engineers work some peak technical voodoo to pull off all that they do. But Starship has already failed. Who would fly on a Starship that has returned 3 times? Think of the extreme stresses Starship goes through on re-entry. How long of a refurbishment would it take for a human rated craft to return to flight? Rapid reusability is a pipe dream

Elon is the scapegoat here. NASA has never taken men to the moon and most of the technology from the 60s didn't work, so Elon is giving money to fail for NASA. You see NASA can't fail after successfully landing people on the surface of the moon in 1969. It would be ludicrous for them to have rockets blowing up and landers tilting and falling over. They have been called out for this by moon hoax researchers where videos of their failures were put on a display for all to see. NASA lost the telemetry data, Blueprints, the original footage, and the technology was destroyed. Why? If you really went to the moon all these data and technology would be kept as the most valuable relics of human history. However, if you fake the moon landings and people are investigating you, Deleting and destroying data and technology is exactly what you would do. Elon is nothing but a willing scapegoat. You mustn't make a mistake here, This is a mutual back scratch between NASA and Elon. The reality is that space is deadly and low earth orbit is the safest a human being can go.

LOL: He didn't read the manual. You're supposed to underestimate and over-deliver. 13 Saturn V launches, 0 losses. Btw, NASA lost the plans to Saturn V. NASA stored them in the basement of one of the buildings on Redstone Arsenal (Huntsville, Alabama). The building got flooded, and plans were destroyed. NASA went to all the individual contractors and tried to put them all back together, but some of the contractors did not have their parts of the plan. Hence, NASA had to outsource a new Saturn V. (I know this because I was a Boeing engineer who worked on NASA contracts in Huntsville during the 1980s.)

Hell, we could've sent _orbiters_ to Uranus and Neptune–including its moons! What a waste! I really hope karma catches up with Elon–soon and hard! He's the world's richest con-artist dunce!

Supposedly, the moon is not landable because it is made of plasma, that was stated by a Scottish scientist to an Aussie News outlet in the 1960s. So the moon being a plasma lantern makes sense. That is what it looks like through some binoculars. What made this possibly more of a truth was a news report that China has the technology and was thinking of putting another moon in the sky so they would not have to use energy for street lights. That was around two years ago in the news, and for probably less than a day. That of course could wreck problems on the natural environment, and they are not doing it.

If what you're saying is true, and it seems pretty clear you have an ideological axe to grind so I take it with a grain of salt, ultimately what you're saying is SpaceX went over budget and late on their contract. Unfortunately, this is the norm, companies with billion dollar contracts with the US Government go over budget and past deadlines all the time. At the end of the day, 1. SpaceX has accomplished something no one else has, and 2. It seems pretty clear that for NASA to accomplish the same, it would take much longer and cost much more, if it ever happened at all.
