It was fantastic, for those who don't know, Epictetus ran a school of philosophy, so reading his book, it almost feels like your a student in his class. It was a fantastic book and really teaches you a lot. Im reading Meditations now by Marcus Aureleus. Marcus took a lot of inspiration from Epcitetus and i think it is a good next step. Also Epictetus was the first book ive ever read cover to cover im not much of a reader so im very proud.>> <<@0x-c7i says : Still in the journey ! It's such a legendary book.>> <<@disuqihijazi7926 says : It seems like you’re genuinely trying to understand your purpose in life, and I think that’s one of the most important questions a person can ask. You’ve been reading a lot of philosophy, which makes sense if you’re looking for different perspectives on how to live and what gives life meaning. But have you ever considered going directly to the sources that claim to have answers to those questions, not just philosophical theories, but religious scriptures that claim to be revelation from God? I’m thinking particularly of the Quran. Islam makes some very serious claims about the purpose of life, God, morality, and what happens after death. It claims that there is an afterlife and that some people may face eternal punishment. Whether or not you believe that is true, don’t you think a claim with consequences that serious is worth investigating for yourself? I’d genuinely recommend reading the Quran with an open mind, not necessarily with the intention of accepting everything immediately, but simply to understand what it actually says and evaluate its claims for yourself. And interestingly, a lot of the questions you find in philosophy, how you should live, how to control yourself, what really matters, how to deal with suffering, and what makes a meaningful life, are addressed in the Quran as well. Given how much philosophy you’ve already been reading, I think it’s definitely worth giving it a serious look.>> <<@MrShagification says : Bro, it's all philosophy. I'm down for a few philosophy books, but damn.>> <<@JordanMichaelLivingstone says : Thank you for everything I have autism too. 🎉>> <<@ravennelijahsy7353 says : have you ever tried reading the best selling book of ALL time?>> <<@SumoGuyy says : Sorry I’m a bit late>> <<@LuanLonan says : Might I recommend: The Works of Mencius. And: Xunzi The Complete Text. Both of these were Confucian philosophers with completely opposite beliefs on human nature, which just to me makes it all the more interesting a read. There is also the I Ching translation by Richard Wilhelm with a forword by Carl Jung.>> <<@Kittycatsamurai語 says : Book review 2026 pewds>> <<@otesianbiggs7836 says : SHAME! book SHAME! xD>> <<@SignedJM says : Adventure Time for the win again !>> <<@GoobyHJ1 says : Where is book review 2026?>> <<@FireboltJB says : I just started making reading a habit along with art.
