I know in the Problem of Pain he explicitly says he rejects the idea goodness is defined as what God says is good, but in other places (Im pretty sure in Mere Christianity he lays it out explicitly) he argues that morality is proof for god, since objective values imply objective laws, and god is the law-giver. Do you know how Lewis responds to both/either horn of the Euthyphro dilemma? If Goodness is defined as what God loves/prefers/commands/is in his nature, than theres no non-circular reason to obey god (since obeying god would be good because god commands it).
