3 reasons: People claimed to see it. So what? People make ridiculous claims all the time. Women claimed to see it. Again, so what. Early church exploded out of nowhere. So did every church ever......... Is Islam true because it sprouted up in a hurry? You wouldn't accept any of those reasons for any other religion. And for good reason. So why accept them now?

Absolutely. Especially considering that most of the stories in the bible that set the foundation of that story are quite clearly false.

To begin with, we have demonstrably sincere eyewitness testimony. Early Christian apologists cited hundreds of eyewitnesses, some of whom documented their own alleged experiences. Many of these eyewitnesses willfully and resolutely endured prolonged torture and death rather than repudiate their testimony. This fact attests to their sincerity, ruling out deception on their part. According to the historical record (The Book of Acts 4:1-17; Pliny’s Letters to Trajan X, 97, etc) most Christians could end their suffering simply by renouncing the faith. Instead, it seems that most opted to endure the suffering and proclaim Christ’s resurrection unto death. Granted, while martyrdom is remarkable, it is not necessarily compelling. It does not validate a belief so much as it authenticates a believer (by demonstrating his or her sincerity in a tangible way). What makes the earliest Christian martyrs remarkable is that they knew whether or not what they were professing was true. They either saw Jesus Christ alive-and-well after His death or they did not. This is extraordinary. If it was all just a lie, why would so many perpetuate it given their circumstances? Why would they all knowingly cling to such an unprofitable lie in the face of persecution, imprisonment, torture, and death? While the September 11, 2001, suicide hijackers undoubtedly believed what they professed (as evidenced by their willingness to die for it), they could not and did not know if it was true. They put their faith in traditions passed down to them over many generations. In contrast, the early Christian martyrs were the first generation. Either they saw what they claimed to see, or they did not. Among the most illustrious of the professed eyewitnesses were the Apostles. They collectively underwent an undeniable change following the alleged post-resurrection appearances of Christ. Immediately following His crucifixion, they hid in fear for their lives. Following the resurrection they took to the streets, boldly proclaiming the resurrection despite intensifying persecution. What accounts for their sudden and dramatic change? It certainly was not financial gain. The Apostles gave up everything they had to preach the resurrection, including their lives.

Your guys videos are awesome. I'm getting out of the Jehovah's Witness religion currently. But my family are asking me question, and I'm wondering if you guys, or anyone can help with that. A few of the are, "true Christians wouldn't celebrate birthdays because the apostles or Jesus never did, their bad..." and also " True Christians don't get involved in politics or go to war like other churches do. Jesus said his kingdom is no part of this world..". I don't know how to and we those, even though I probably should. A few other ones are on the subjects of "why there are so many Christian denominations even though Jesus said his people would be united". Also about they're bible. I know there are many innacurracies, but a few things I can't refute are, "why do other bibles use LORD in th old testament which is Hebrew. It should be YHWH." And also regarding the omitted verses like "ye without sin cast the first stone". They claim that those are not in the original texts, and I can't find any evidence on this. These are the questions I can't answer. I know there are many doctrinal errors in the religion already, but being able to answer these questions will help me rest easy. So thanks for taking the time to read this. I appreciate it.

If there was only the New Testament I’d be skeptical but may believe the resurrection. But it’s the Hebrew Bible that makes me disbelieve it. Jesus references Noah and the flood but a global flood is preposterous.

My problem with the Crucifixion/Resurrection is not that it's unbelievable. After all, it's a miracle. Part of the definition of a miracle is that it is, at least on one level, unbelievable. My problem is causality. I can see that physical causes can have physical effects (eg you heat water, it excites the molecules, the water boils). I can also see that abstract causes can have abstract effects (eg you say something encouraging to someone and that person feels better). But in the Crucifixion story, we have an _abstract_ effect from a _physical_ cause. Jesus' death was real. A real execution with a real cross and real nails and real blood. And the effect is that we are absolved from our sins. This is what I don't understand. I can't see the causal link between the two things (execution and redemption). I have struggled with this all my life. I have tried to believe it. I'm still trying to believe it. I _want_ to believe it. But I can't, because I can't comprehend it.

Jesus is lord he offering you a free gift not of works we all have sinned in fallen short of God. God has offer you a free gift threw his son Jesus. you cant earn yourself to heaven by being a "good person" were all sinners none of us are good no sin is greater than the other in God's eyes. the way to get to heaven is to admit your a sinner believe that Jesus died for your sins in was buried in rose again on the third day that he shed his blood for you that is the gospel believe it in your save. Corinthians 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: if you believe the gospel you are eternally secured (once saved always saved) sealed to the day of redemption. Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. when you sin you grieve the holy spirit but you do not lose it you are sealed unto the day of redemption.
