When he said the Japanese sweet potato, I so relate! That is my favorite produce right now. I have UC and I never get sick with it. I throw it in the mini oven, set it and forget it. Seriously my go to. Roast at 400 in my mini oven with olive oil and salt and wrapped in foil for 40-70 minutes depending on size. Cut and eat.🤤

Virgin olive oil contains about 500 mg/L of polyphenols. The quantity and quality of polyphenols in olive oil is closely related to the process of olive milling and further processing. Therefore, virgin olive oils have substantially higher amounts of polyphenols than refined olive oils [30,33].28 Feb 2018

Plants obviously place seeds in fruit for the very purpose of spreading them via the animals that eat the fruit and then defecate the seeds at another location together with fertiliser within the faeces. If lectin is nature's way of preventing seed destruction, than surely it was meant to act against the micro-fauna that would otherwise attempt to consume the seeds after the fruit has been consumed and defecated, or simply rotted on the ground. Is this guy actually suggesting our bodies digest the seeds within the fruit we eat?

Olives do not grow in Asia. Developed Asian countries that do not use olive oil at all (Japan, Hong Kong, Macao, Singapore, South Korea) have significantly longer life expectancies than Mediterranean countries that use more olive oil. So it may not be correct to conclude that olive oil prolongs life.

This guy is a hoot! I have a 99 year old Italian Mother (my aunt, her sister is 102). She is extremely healthy mentality and physically. We've been eating tomatoes daily since I've been born. In fact she grows tomatoes, beans, peppers, cucumbers in our garden here in Canada. They are delicious and apparently full of lectins! I guess no body told my 99 year old mother (God willing she'll be 100 in October 2022) that tomatoes will kill you! I'm sure she would get a hoot out of that. You got to laugh when you hear doctors like this who like to sell books and tell you how bad peppers, tomato's and beans are for you, and then promote the Mediterranean diet....lol Have they actually been to the Mediterranean? The Mediterranean diet is not just about olive oil. In fact my parents rarely had olive oil in Italy, they cooked with animal fat. They did eat olives, when they were available but not so much the oil. During WW2 my parents ate lectin rich beans almost exclusively for 4 years, and they survived just fine. That's all they had. So doctors like dr Li, Dr hyman (see attached video) think tomato's help prevent cancer, a doctor like Dr Gundry think they poison you. Great way to sell supplements and books...lol I think you eat fresh, unprocessed food in moderation, and see what your body tells you! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhJZcKFfu_c

Doctor Gundry it’s very interesting. I wish that more people would get on the bandwagon with him. Because as I look at these questions from others that look like they’re very sensible well-known people they don’t all agree with him. So it gets really confusing! I would love to know clearly basically what to eat At my age with RA and the auto immune issue and the prednisone I take. I try to do things naturally but it’s hit and miss. And it would be really nice if somebody like this doctor would gather together many other doctors who agreed with him and stated it o the world! So I don’t know what to think….We need help! No one seems to agree on how to be heart healthy. Frustrating!

Who cares what native cultures in different countries ate or didn't eat, because they used to be at the stage of surviving and didn't live long. What matters are existing mounting modern age scientific studies on health and longevity. Period.

This plan suits me well. Please tell me is it safe to be on keto with 2 meals daily and intermittement fasting every day 17-18 hours, till the end of your life? Or it's better to have one or two days in week with 3 meals and shorter fasting period? Thanks.

I liked all the other interviews with him but this one, he contradicts himself with what he said in another interview. He does not seam to awnser the questions and does not give a comprehensive description of what we should eat. He says to eat live and party like our incestors (who ate mostly meat) but he tell us to eat liters of olive oil and reduce red meat... He says to eat lectin-free vegetables but the ones he suggest are full of oxolates. This is all too confusing.
