Government healthcare, especially in a culturally non-homogeneous society, will always be absolute nightmare fuel, existing for the principle purpose of lighting mountains of cash on fire. What Americans need is the return of industry and competitive wages but that is something only the market can provide. Government should always be the institutional tool of last resort.
