So when I say I will successful I have a lot behind it, but my goal was to get a job to improve my social interactions skills, and get 250,000 in stocks and then I'll be safe, and I estimate that it will likely be 7-15 years till I reach that goal (250,000÷12 is 20,822 a year, just under my 21,000 yearly budget, yes that's nothing, kinda the point of the low budget, 15,000-20,000 is my rate of saving this year so the goal is do-able) and then I can work any job and in theory be safe and secure, but if I provide a track record of work for myself of 10-18 years of work at that point I don't think I need that much saved up. And it's kinda messes with me, I can still job hop if they fire me and then I need 7-12 new jobs but again I would have proven a track record of success, and now I make more then I need to survive and I'm not entirely sure how to process it, because I work at a place unlikely to fire their employees>> <<@nicholascaley501 says : I loved the humility of the interview and shared interaction ...>> <<@nicholascaley501 says : The common thread with all these interviews is you all have great success and can afford to reflect on unhappiness... When the average folks stuck in a place of poverty ,renting working after retirement just to survive ..this doesn't apply ... different being top of your field feeling sad then being at the bottom of a heap feeling defeated .. esp in old age .. enjoyed the stories>> <<@BAALMIAH says : In life if you don’t actually succeed in anything, you can try telling people about why you failed. Success !!>> <<@Golgibaby says : Timestamp: 52:14 The pleasure of flow state, creatives must create.>> <<@Robert-zb5ep says : WHY is the interviewer talking more than the interviewee??? One of the worst!!>> <<@MW-dh1ez says : Happiness comes from gratitude and appreciation of small things. Happiness comes from human interaction, helping others. However, The Origin of Species was not published until Darwin was 50 years old, and he only lived to be 73 years old. Did I have any misunderstanding?(I feel like the Harvard professor should remember correctly.) After searching on the website, I felt that Darwin's later years were quite rich.>> <<@Rolo_Bambino says : How do i get happiness. i want some happynessw>> <<@djmoot4428 says : Were lost and unhappy cause of this corrupt world we live in. Signed, HOT MESS TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT 🥰>> <<@mausperson5854 says : Values are just a story you tell yourself to create a Self. Like love and fear, they map onto reality only insomuch as we believe the story, and can convince others the story is true.>> <<@mausperson5854 says : I value pleasure and have no problem with idolatry. Prohibitions are the enemy.>> <<@justafan26 says : If you don’t watch the video he sounds so much like Alex Harmozi! 😮>> <<@JenniferDeWalls says : Good advice I wish I had when i left my dysfunctional home at the age of 17. Now that I am pushing 60, single, no children - it seems my search for 'love' will have to be through other means. Consider a version for the no children no spouse crowd - especially due to the aging population. Thanks for listening.>> <<@juliettailor1616 says : I don't think Professor Brooks understands that the "hustle" culture is a 20th American phenomenon part and of the contemporary American (consumer capitalist) society and makes for unhappiness.>> <<@Subscriber25098 says : I also just bought your wifes book :)>> <<@Subscriber25098 says : Sooo profound ❤ I love him!>> <<@jenysiamusic says : Yah!!!!🥰 Reminds me of: "There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear"❤>> <<@jamesmacdougall2267 says : I was the Director of a major Pharma company in the early 2000’s .. retired with a stroke, am unemployed now and HAPPY now!!!>> <<@joerectifier says : (1) Understand and regress to your foundational childhood interests - explore them because they are pure and not manipulated by human constructs (2) Understand and manage (and avoid where needed) the human-made constructs society pushes on us through advertising and media (3) Stop comparing yourself to others and become a sovereign individual (4) Read The Word Of God (5) Work at and learn to accept what you have and where you are.>> <<@kamilgregurek9314 says : Happiness is deeply overvalued.
