Looks great! I have a question though, would it be possible to make it so you don't have to winch it down until the trigger engages? I'm thinking something like adding a second trigger for the sliding magazine that would be under rubber tension, then after firing your arrow you hold up the lever that engages the ratchet and release your second trigger making the magazine slam down becouse of the rubber. Then you winch it just once to re-tension the "bowstring" and engage the secondary trigger again. Of course the build would need to be sturdy enough to survive the slam of the magazine and also if you plan to add a winch handle then that would spin rapidly during the slamming and that doesen't sound too safe...

Hey Thanks for sharing I am curious (& Not knowing your country's laws) Could you legally replace the crank system with a electric motor utilizing a acme thread stim to make the magazine - trigger assembly move back & forth ? I think that it would reduce time & effort for shooting. Thus making range time more enjoyable. Your thoughts ?

Could you add a rod that releases the blocking lever for the crank when the rubber reaches the end after the shot. Then the whole block can return to the rest position using the tension. Once that is in the rest position it engages the lever to block the crank again. That way you eliminate having to wind the crank back to the rest position after each shot.
