And I’d go so far as to say that here in Germany we usually learn a fair bit more – albeit in a rather subtle way – about how things came to be that way back then. For anyone who’s wondering, when I was at school, we spent about half a year each in Years 9 and 10 at secondary school (Reahlschule) in Germany studying this topic. And every school class in Germany has to visit a concentration camp to show WHAT actually happened back then!
