If you've been stabbed or impaled by something, it's actually better to leave the object in. This prevents blood loss by blocking the entry/exit wound, and you can cause more damage by removing it yourself. It's much better to leave it and let emergency personnel remove it instead! If possible, try to secure the object with bandages, spare clothes, towels, etc, so it doesn't get jostled while you wait for help. (Drives me up the wall in movies and shows when people take the knife or other sharp stabby thing out. Like, congrats! The characters are getting really weird, the events are downright nonsensical, and I've completely lost my immersion that the first hours of this game gave me. WTF was the "ow, you stabbed me" part? Why did Ryan lightly get stabbed in the side before everyone cleared out of the room in three seconds flat? These things are not in the name of comedy or good plot progression. They're just weird ways to get whatever mess of an ending is probably coming up.
