If you took the caps off the bottles the water would have poured out the penetration holes a lot more realistically. Having the cap on was holding the water under a vacuum, it couldn’t drain because it had no way to pull any air into the bottle to fill the space left by the draining water.

People who have practiced martial arts for years can keep fighting. Their body automatically keeps doing the moves although the connection with the brain is damaged. I have watched Kingdom of heavens thousands of times. It's a very good movie - It should have got Oscar in 2006. The 2006 Oscar went to the gays.

As a paramedic I worked a crash where a woman hit a wooden fence and a fence post (2x4) split and went through her neck. She not only lived but had no lasting issues once her long healing was done. She was conscious and alert the entire time and had minimal blood loss. It took us about an hour to get her safely packaged and cut from the car in a way that we could stabilize her for transport. It was pretty disturbing but she lived.

Are those broadhead bolts or artificial projectiles made to be fired from a contraption whose origin dates back many centuries and could be construed as being called crossbows? And that wooden crossbow isn't homemade so much as it was constructed at a certain time and date from organic materials that came from large rooted plants.

The FBI studied ballistics a lot in the 80s and they found that jacketed ball ammunition from a side arm is not very good at opening up blood vessels. Being pliable and elastic blood vessels get pushed aside and slip over the smooth round nose bullet - so you get a through and through wound that fails to stop the target. A crossbow bolt can behave in a very similar manner. A war head from a long bow on the other hand cuts on the way in. A hollowpoint pistol round is effective for the same reason as the petals of the jacket open up and cut open blood vessels.

last year a youtuber from kentucky had a 50 cal explode in his face. a piece of metal from the reciever was blown into his throat and nicked the artery. if that artery was cut he would have died in 30 seconds. But he managed to jam his thumb into the wound and managed to stop the bleeding enough for him and his father to reach the city hospital. But he could basicly have fought on for 5-10-15 minutes if there was a crossbow bolt in his neck instead of his thumb... all depending on how long pain levels, adrenaline etc would keep him from fainting while fighting...

******HEY JOERG**** I know you like to tweak things like bow and arrows just watched your video on single bevel broadheads and also bow string frey i did some searching a while back on bow hunting and here is an idea to get even better penetration Grizzlystik arrows alaska/sitka these are tapered towards the back end so as the hole collapses after the wide point so does the tapered shaft which causes less drag/ friction and number two spray some silicone on the arrow shaft . now give it a shot on the ballistic gel. and as for the string frey/breaking why don you try to spray silicone on everything the bow string comes into contact with. now i have herd of silicone . but this is my idea how about trying ceramic car wax. or even GRAPHENE car wax protection not only what the string come into contact with but also the string itself giving it a graphene coating would make it very durable rub that stuff in good. even better do you have a vacume sealer for meat? well put the bow string in a bag put graphene car wax sealer now vacume seal it put in hot water and let the bow string soak up the graphene for 24 hours open let dry and see what happens if you get more life out of that bow string.

Surviving that is very unlikely but absolutely 100% possible. In fact you could survive it completely and live to tell the tale. If you want to see what a human is capable of surviving, look up the story of a South African woman called Alison Botha. She had her head almost cut completely off by two men after being raped and disemboweled... and I kid you not, she woke up hours later, face down in the dirt, stood up and walked to the road to get help whilst literally holding her own head on and her guts in. Not only that, she made a full recovery despite the worst injuries any doctor there had ever seen, and she even managed to name her would be killers. They had cut her neck so deep that the only thing holding her head on was her spine and yet they'd also somehow managed to not cut her arteries. A miracle perhaps but she now lives a completely normal life. Edit: The lack of modern medicine would certainly be a deciding factor for that Viking though. Also Jouko Ahola is a living legend. 2 x World's Strongest Man and a great guy.

First of all, I want to confirm that the University's Hospital in Tübingen is one of the best Hospitals in Germany. I was there for six weeks to accompany my then 15 years old son who nearly passed due to a very rare intolerance to a common medicine. Other docs in other hospitals thought of leukemia, because the symptoms have been the same. Doctors of the Tübingen Hospital found out, what was wrong and gave him the right treatment, so he got healed completely. I want to thank the doctors of the hospital for saving my sons live. Second, not only arrows and bolts that have pierced a human body have to stay where they are until you are in Hospital, everything has to be untouched that is stuck in you. Let it be a knife, rebar, wooden dowels, if they stick in someones body, leave it where it is. Just make sure it does not move a lot. Call an ambulance and wait.
