I further assume this saves cost on travel time on the barge, but I would have thought the added complexity of the flight would have caused SpaceX to opt for the more simplistic flight plan. Is this a change due to growing confidence in the systems? That the added risk was minimal vs the cost savings it provided? Can we expect to see more boostback launches in the future?
