YouTube sucks now.>> <<@carddamom188 says : Now youtube doesn't have to be shamed about how bad youtube rewind videos are....>> <<@tgautam03 says : In my opinion, if someone dislikes a video, there should be a mandatory (private or public) note to the creator as to why the video was disliked.>> <<@ShreddinSleds says : Didn’t they remove it during the elections and during the peak of Covid? Hmmm… kinda like how they remove comments on videos they don’t want to be confronted on….>> <<@BricketPC12 says : What smart head on YT did think of that? It does make me nerves... rly.>> <<@shanepereraedu says : I think they removed the dislike button for commercial purposes. If someone is looking for a certain content but the video is a clickbait people leave immediately after seeing the amount dislike count. That's a quick indicator of worthiness of the content. But if you hid it, people have to wait throughout the video quite some time or even to the end to find out whether the content is good or bad in the meantime YouTube can play more advertisements to gain some revenue. They didn't think through the viewers perspective. The decision was made to keep people on the platform as long as possible to milk engagement to show adds.>> <<@DeviceElectronic says : Dislike isn't a critical thing for a person like Marques Brownlee. It's ok for big Youtubers and huge companies. But, imagine how dislike affects to 13 year old amateur singer songwriter.>> <<@justinseibert says : you can't even see dislikes on comments now. What is the point of having a like button without a dislike button?>> <<@Linkman8912 says : 13K dislikes on this video from my extension>> <<@Hollowdude15 says : LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO>> <<@Hollowdude15 says : I agree that this video age well like dislikes really ruin youtube and great video MKBHD :]>> <<@floatingpointz5903 says : 2 years later and still important for every YouTube user (and YT managers) to watch... One of these days, someone will actually use this feedback (I hope)...😢>> <<@PanutatRatchatasuwan says : I just started my own channel a year ago, and I know how it feels to get bad comments and dislike but I agree with you, we, creator, use that information to improve ourself, to improve our video.>> <<@seanthompson1980 says : Removing dislikes lessened my youtube bing watching. Thats why we have to team up in the comments.>> <<@Hide_and_Tweak says : And on top of that, youtube is going forward pushing horrible image and sound compression as time goes by, unless you pay for premium. Now for example, the free version of spotify sounds way better than free youtube.>> <<@Ciiads says : In my opinion dislikers always need to drop a comment about it.>> <<@anonymoushuman_rh says : How is hiding dislikes improving the mental health of creators is the creator can still see the dislike counter?>> <<@aljustiet says : That video became private>> <<@ffsireallydontcare says : Aaand they actually made the original video private! So much for transparency and "don't be evil". Remember, every anti-consumer, anti-creator, pro-advertiser, pro-scammer change is made so that Larry Page can afford another private island!>> <<@corbin839 says : Removing the dislike from the videos make me not want to watch videos on youTube at all. You comments were great.>> <<@corbin839 says : You are right on man. YouTube needs to put the thumbs down back on so people make their own decision on a video.>> <<@GABEEJEE1 says : Sometimes, it's necessary to accept that certain aspects of a platform or service have changed, and we may not be able to control them and we move on.>> <<@UnderRebelControl says : Targeted dislikes ? How about the uploads that share viruses that have no dislikes and people fall for it.>> <<@therockysafari4302 says : They should let creators choose whether or not it’s visible on their videos!!!!!!>> <<@wbsees says : Just give the creators the ability to choose whether or not the dislike count is displayed. There, that’s the moderate solution.>> <<@wbsees says : Now I’ll just grunt like a caveman towards my screen when I dislike something. That’ll show ‘em.>> <<@isaacandersen1 says : I can't believe this video still has no dislikes, I guess it's just perfect!>> <<@krismichalsky says : I cannot gauge a video on it's likes or dislikes, because I haven't watched the video yet. Just because a video has higher dislike than like count it will not make me go to another video instantly like most folks. Sure, I will scroll down to the comments to see why the ratio is the way it is, but then I make my own "educated" decision on the content myself. Honestly, and I hate to really say this but I am going to... Not everyone's intelligence level is the same as everyone else's, correct? Yes, 100% correct. Since I don't know the intelligence level of the people who liked or disliked the video how am I supposed to know if I like or dislike the video based on this ratio? I know why this does happen however... Most people are like cattle and they simply follow the heard. Too many people these days simply jumping on the band wagon that is more full without actually knowing what they jumping in to. All they know is that most people didn't like it, so guess what??? They now don't like it either. That's stupid. Please don't be a part of this and decide for yourself. I have seen plenty of videos that were very informative, but just because the video creator wasn't very cordial, or didn't speak English very well, now they dislike the video. And that my friends is total bullshit. Can we not base the information we receive from a video as the like or dislike, and not by the way it was even presented? Not everyone is fucking Steven Spielberg. I do think that YouTube should bring the dislike counter back, even though it wasn't very helpful, it at least showed me who was intelligent and who was not.>> <<@hks071 says : They didn't listen to you this time I guess>> <<@BariumCobaltNitrog3n says : What's worse is the creator sees how much people dislike the video but watch it anyway and leave feeling burned. EVERY channel has a least-popular video and the channel knows which one(s) but the users don't. The embarrassment is GREATER for the creator knowing people are watching something they won't like.>> <<@globesnow6377 says : if they’re so worried abt too many dislikes, just make a better video 😂>> <<@sonicyears says : There's nobody notice not even youtubers YouTube did not delete dislikes only the youtuber see how many dislike they got on a video every time I scroll on a video I see no dislikes but I already have a few Unfair delete Dislikes!>> <<@luigimario6722 says : Why would youtube help you find the correct tutorial right away when they can make you spend hours wallowing through the wrong ones, watching ads all the time?>> <<@luigimario6722 says : I think the real reason was that they don't want you to have the best time possible, they want you to spend a long time on the site. People often engage more of their attention with things that make them angry than with things that make them happy. If youtube can get you to watch a video that frustrates you, negativity bias will cause you to pay more attention and want to hear more.>> <<@kristinecampos5202 says : Why not hide the likes too then?>> <<@ReefMimic says : I miss MySpace. Tom let me post almost anything>> <<@ReefMimic says : Lol they only listen to themselves>> <<@whatislifebro says : communism>> <<@ryandavis7593 says : YouTube isn’t listening to the viewers at all!! YouTube is making viewing almost impossible. Like the nine minute and fifteen seconds Apple commercial when I clicked on your video. YouTube is simply abusing everyone who refuses to pay for premium apps! YouTube today sucks!>> <<@obakobina says : use return dislike>> <<@babugaming362 says : Where is jawed>> <<@EnigmaQueen says : If the content is informative and enjoyable, I like it, if not, I dislike it. In fact, their decision only increased my inclination to dislike average content, which is not informative or enjoyable. Hiding information that we had (the audience) before was not smart YouTube.>> <<@hyperboreanKikeKiller88 says : Mark ass browny>> <<@galaxysamsung1728 says : 2:48 like*>> <<@jakubjacko9623 says : Youtube: We are making this move for creators because we value their mental health Creators: We don´t really want that. Youtube: Yes you want!>>
