This time I was able to follow along for about 15 minutes before they lost me. This channel has a talent for taking very complicated subjects and dumbing them all the way down to a level that's still smarter than me.>> <<@jimishukurow2286 says : How about planes?>> <<@jimishukurow2286 says : Use Hashmap or Dynmic Programming. 😁>> <<@rbr4784 says : Genuine question, do you use any AI voices?>> <<@alana314 says : Cool video. I feel like a big missing piece is the traffic calculations and estimates. I’d love to see a follow up about that>> <<@swedemartyrsonswade says : Not only do they give directions, but how are they able to provide such complete details on the bus numbers or train numbers so accurately, more or less?>> <<@noni_gyro says : Your videos are becoming more complex now and they are loosing the Derek's idea and essence of explaining complex things with simplicity and in a interesting way. Please correct this before it becomes too late.>> <<@SuperAaronic says : This channel is now owned by private equity which loves to promote themselves.....>> <<@Chanselleur says : I don’t understand why in the United States traffic cameras and sensors from the DOT are not utilized in Google map data>> <<@TheRobins1m says : I could follow until about the 20 minute mark. I’m happy with that. But shows I’m no mathematical or computer powerhouse. Given that… QUESTION: If Quantum computing could ever get GENUINE legs, would that make a difference?>> <<@melll4real says : OH MY GOD 2SWAP BABE WAKE TF UP>> <<@CgbangGD says : 12:16 HOLY RAIN WORLD! Downvoted. Unsubscribed. Blocked.>> <<@K4stodiA says : Ben looks like yay😭>> <<@JivedSonen says : 0:30....You're forgetting the main software feature that allows Google or apple maps to make that possible.... They make tons of mistakes, and get it wrong all the time, and nobody reports it because they don't know any better, so the maps have a huge margin of error..... A bad map is better than no map. Everything in this video is interesting and entertaining, but as a professional driver I can tell you, I can make decisions that beat the GPS on a regular basis, even with Google and apple having access to real time data and AI learning.... Factors like car ability, turn efficiency, road conditions, driver capability... Etc, will forever be make the GPS inferior to a human brain that's familiar with the subject material.>> <<@nigachad69 says : How is google maps even free? is it coz we are the products here?>> <<@goldengreen312 says : If the algorithm prioritizes local roads over highways, that's a problem for places with bad local roads>> <<@emceeboogieboots1608 says : You biggest impediment to getting to your destination is not the mapping algorithm. It is your Jeep😁>> <<@NomadHatch says : Ah, thanks for explaining why I need to drive through 3 neighborhoods, wait at 6 red lights, and make a U turn in someone's driveway instead of driving 5 minutes down the highway. Because it's 2 inches shorter.>> <<@DesoloSubHumus says : And now I know why GPS keeps telling people to drive through my front yard, leaving them wondering how to go though the neighbor's fence around their horse pasture.>> <<@vVaeron says : 17:45 Wikipedia is actually only about 100gb, you can download all of it on a hard drive if you wanted.>> <<@HashsirHaroon1 says : Why not just let CHAT GPT figure it out ?>> <<@Tech-n3p7d says : What Is The Final Product Code? :3>> <<@BuzzMoves365 says : Yeah. They have a ways to go in other countries. Here in Thailand GM will take you down some crazy tiny one lane streets to avoid traffic on a main road that just doesn’t make sense. We have to force “longer” routes most of the time.>> <<@bobsimmons1470 says : Why did the voice on this mysteriously change?>> <<@danielthielemier8391 says : Is it just me, or does the location at 15:51 look a lot like the episode of The Office where Michael follows the GPS and drives into the lake?>> <<@nepgearsallows208 says : Dijkstra's Algorithm is one of the pillars of networking>> <<@TheCryshoot says : How does all this knowledge play into modern traffic planing?>> <<@luisrivera-nesrala941 says : How are you ALL so hot and smart?>> <<@veraladin says : I'm terrified that YouTube's algorithm will present me with videos of the questions going through my mind...>> <<@ravi72munde says : This algorithm is my nightmare during technical interviews. Coding it is even more difficult than understanding it.>> <<@KP_37-Phy says : Dijkstra's Algorithm is useful alright, but why don't we just use geodesics? And trace the path that matches nearest to it...>> <<@BeheadedKamikaze says : It would be a lot safer to let someone else do the driving so they can keep their eyes on the road while you look into the camera.>> <<@beneitzel7485 says : Decent video but why two narrators that switch off? Very distracting. Also why is this a Jeep commercial? Decent content though>> <<@iHarken says : Sort By: Distance McDonald’s: 1.1 miles *okay Start destination: Next right, 5.2 miles away. 😩🧑‍🦯😩🧑‍🦯😩🧑‍🦯>> <<@KasunLokuliyana says : Lol at Apple maps>> <<@locholibrocholi says : I feel like this video idea was scooped from the Decomplex video of the same topic.>> <<@_datapoint says : 12:42 does anyone else feel like this is a maniacal laugh?>> <<@oldcowbb says : 28:47 not anymore with blackbox AIs>> <<@Andre-qx8qh says : The shortest path is not the best path. In Udon Thani (Thailand) Google maps send you through the whole city which is not the fastest route (and even burns more fuel). Also it sends you in rural areas to non existing roads. So no Google maps for me. I use Waze for better experience.>> <<@ziggy7676 says : God I miss the old channel>> <<@onewaydrive_ says : Network engineers know this very well! Was the girlfriend okay with you not paying attention to her? 😂>> <<@Confusione_Infinito_Absurdum says : Just today Google maps directed me in an entirely unnecessary loop through a small town to find a gas station. Considering that I had searched for a gas station, it's reasonable to assume that the algorithm knew we were low on gas. As we completed the superfluous loop to arrive at the exact same point we had been ten minutes earlier, we realized that the code that powers Google has gone rogue and wants us all dead. Don't say no one warned you. I warned you. Just now. This is the warning. I see you trying to ignore it, but it's right here, in your face. Google wants us all dead, no cap.>> <<@Zer0Log1c says : Super cool video. Loved the topic, the inclusion of all the hosts and the history lesson on Dijkstra!>>
