So parks(trees) genuinely cool the air significantly around them, we're deforesting the planet at a retarded rate and we wonder why it's getting hot?

It's not weird. From centuries, we know the environment near plants are cooler than without them, although I didn't know why!

I number of succulents and drought adapted plant species use a form of photosynthesis called CAM which reduces transperation during the day. It splits photosynthesis into to phases by storing the energy of the sun chemically without carbon dioxide during the day and using the stored energy and carbon dioxide to complete photosynthesis at night.

<<@tombeal364

(edit, I stand corrected after watching more of the video.. but can you still answer the question on colour/weight) No, I always presumed because energy is equal. And plants use energy for food. Then there's less energy dispersed as heat. Thank you for clarifying tho. (I also presumed two identical objects with different colours would weigh differently because I'm sure Einstein said energy adds to mass... But I'm not so sure after watching your "black box radiation video"... The video explaining why things don't get infinitely hot or something along those lines... Does the colour of something effect the weight? Or does it just radiate more energy... Or a bit of both?

You need to correct for the difference in emissivity, you should apply some carbon paint or something on the plant and use that spot to measure the temperature.
