<<@_tanzil_ says : Oxygen Application style is removed!?>> <<@quarteratom says : Windows 10 has much better and more OS settings than any linux. For linux, KDE Plasma is the best, but some options are just not available. I'm not talking about appearance.>> <<@MrMorokiatt says : Thanks... I followed you because of my Pi experiences, and now I have a x86 PC and run Neon on it. Im liking it a lot.>> <<@frosbi99en says : KDE is ugly Windows rip off.>> <<@RageBearer says : weird question since I didn't see it in your scroll through on the fonts, was there a way to change the normal font style of what NEON uses? Im speaking about for all the windows, or what could essentially make a custom font default for the system. If it is so might be nice a accessibility feature.>> <<@Daniel-xu4fm says : how to lam install this desktop>> <<@bellissimo4520 says : KDE Plasma 6 has been blowing up lately. I need to give this a try on my Mint system... Cinnamon is fine, but also somewhat boring and limited.>> <<@Robbie-mw5uu says : eh i'm not a fan of kde plasma because it still uses too much ram. What on earth is it doing for it to use so much ram?>> <<@teeemm6415 says : One of the biggest improvement that Plasma 6 brings to Linux desktop is touchpad gestures, and scrolling speed adjustment for both wheel and touch, a two *decade* old feature request. To be accurate Plasma did have an option for touchpad only scrolling speed adjustment with not so common modern Synaptics touchpads. I'm not sure why GNOME lags behind this considering they were early on Wayland. No more imwheel hacks, especially if you're a laptop user that switch between touchpad and mouse.>> <<@skelious says : Thank you for this review, simple and to the point. I can't believe the cube is back lol. Personally i like to use it on my second computer but not on my main i prefer the large icon navigation for that one.>> <<@Panacea9 says : "they give us so many limits" "we went into their design to pander.""it is their machines.">> <<@acajoom says : It should be noted that KDE Neon is not a distro as per how the team calls it "not a distro". Do not use it for professional work as it is more experimental than any other distro you can choose (tones of bugs). If you love KDE on Ubuntu you better go with a stable Kubuntu LTS. Otherwise you will put yourself into a mess, if you are professional.>> <<@ReptilianLaserbeam says : just when I was planning in going back to Linux on my personal machine! thanks for the video>> <<@deborahpark6511 says : "PromoSM" 🙃>> <<@dvgsun says : it is of course very nice looking , but how is this going to help me to do my job or increase performance in any way ?>> <<@user-ip8wk6kc9o says : Debian12 does not have kde6>> <<@xyic0re714 says : My eyes..they burn. On a serious note people really still use light mode?>> <<@gigamoment says : While i like that kde is getting some updates, i do really think that Linux needs a completely new, redesigned, modern and elegant desktop environment for the new era or computing. All existing desktop environments are already too old.>> <<@LaurieFloodTeacher says : I have Linux Mint Cinnamon dual booted with an older version of KDE Neon. I used Neon for a while and went back to Cinnamon, but I like it so well that I kept it on my system. Now, I will definitely have to upgrade it. Plasma looks absolutely great. It will be interesting to see how Wayland works with an eight-year-old laptop updated with an SSD. Thanks, Chris!>> <<@AndreasElf says : Microsoft should take notes. I really like the GUI in this.>> <<@rbush2335 says : I am currently using KDE Neon Plasma 6 on my laptop and pc. I have no complaints as it works well on both. This has replaced windows 11. All that user control is fantastic. The only item that I had to do a lot of searching for on line was how to get numlock to be on for the login screen. Found it, now everything is perfect.>> <<@neprokiss says : KDE still looks like Windows 2000 time flies - but nothing changes in the UI/UX, it's ridiculously out of date>> <<@aseeralfaisalsaad says : Looks backdated>> <<@ichigoisekai says : It's no MacOS, But there is desire.>> <<@themydnighthour says : Think it can work on a Rpi5?>> <<@MissMuffin-qc8fc says : I'm switching between kde and gnome all the time. No final word on either.>> <<@MaffeyZilog says : Do you still think voting for Brexit was a good idea?>> <<@user-eq2fp6jw4g says : Plasma 6 is good for wayland to keep progressing as the default display server. Thou what i found atm issue is that there is no proper latte-dock alternative and default plasma panel edited work as "dock" is still pretty glitchy.>> <<@chromerims says : 14:35 -- 😂 My "personal wet ware is working" *not* reliably. But I get by regardless, thank you for asking. Good golly, you have piqued my interest in Plasma 6 and KDE. I shall revisit kubuntu and kde neon. Kindest regards, friends and neighbours.>> <<@superyura6457 says : Kde plasma is by far the highest quality modern desktop environment, however on my rig I have a dual monitor set up and booting into it one screen is sometimes always off!, as a programmer this drives me insane I need to get into workflow straight away. Despite this I find myself using it more than windows, I have an apple style Mojave theme kde plasma desktop gui configuration is so easy and unparalleled, if you're serious about your desktop hop on this asap !>> <<@nathanruben3372 says : I wish you mentioned the tiling window manager capabilities similar to i3 of kde.>> <<@PhilAug-zo2ed says : Excellent vidéo ... as usual !😊>> <<@NinjaRunningWild says : In Dolphin you can turn on traditional menus.>> <<@silverclouds3725 says : Sorry, but what hardware would pair well with this? Anything I need to be on the watch for? Thanks so much!!>> <<@weerobot says : Cool...>> <<@oneeyedphotographer says : Can you configure the cursor size? I need to, and do, on Windows. I need to on the various Linux desktops I have tried, but I haven't found a way.>> <<@gmk27 says : 16:15 I thought I was watching news for a moment>> <<@Infermity says : You can move between virtual desktops like in gnome using CTRL+ALT with your arrow keys, which I find to be much more useful. Also using 2 rows makes it more compact.>> <<@ConfuSomu says : Great video as always! I also love KDE Plasma, but I am still on Plasma 5 for the time being, as I was waiting until a few more bugs are fixed. Upgrades can be exciting, but there might be a few things to manually solve afterwards, especially with the transition to Wayland (which seems to be way better now with fractional scaling support and ICC colour profiles). I might upgrade this weekend!>> <<@stephenhargreaves9011 says : Looks nice, but I have always been of a mind that the desktop shouldn't get in the way, and so I shall remain an XFCE user.>> <<@lexxxsuperior says : Based!>> <<@Anguzinhoo says : Deus tira de mim essa vontade de desinstalar o gnome e ficar horas customizando o KDE>> <<@chrisk28 says : Finally, Kevin the Hamster gets the international recognition that he so richly deserves. Thank-you so much for mentioning him.>> <<@awo1fman says : I used to run kubuntu until KDE zapped all my desktop widgets and never replaced them with anything remotely similar. I've never forgiven them and have run Ubuntu MATE ever since. I have zero use for a desktop dock, and in fact it's a giant minus for me. I can't stand Gnome either. I'll stick with the MATE desktop for the foreseeable future. They don't keep changing things just to change them, and the UI is exactly what I want.>> <<@adambailey1993 says : Would you say this would be the ideal OS for someone who is relatively new to Linux Distros?>> <<@pauljahshan1138 says : Great video, thanks!>> <<@amniote69 says : I had tried KDE in the past, using Kubuntu and Garuda, loved it but always lost the desktop after updates. Now I'm daily driving Nobara (since KDE 5) and so far it's been brilliant.>> <<@meowcula says : the compiz cube is a classic. I doubt many actually use it in their day-to-day, but it's a bit of nostalgia we're all happy to see there.>> <<@pamus6242 says : KDE is the best.
