I need some information. having already glued the stock heat sinks that come with the pi foundation case, do I have to remove them to use this case or is there enough space? I had my wife listen, and she heard "Out you come", which seems *way* more likely on this channel, but that's not how I heard it. That is an impressive case. Idk, maybe if I get a second pi5 I'll get that, but my black aluminum case with fan seems to do a very good job. All in all, I'm quite happy with the performance of the pi5 (8GB), and have been doing *most* of my desktop work on it, with my old desktop reserved for a few things that use too much memory or just didn't run well for one reason or another. For the price, it's fantastic. The first home computer I used was a TRS-80 Model 3. Or was it III? Three, anyway. I've spent a career mostly using engineering workstations, doing software development primarily with a CAD system, and have seen plenty of computers costing more than 100 times as much but with nowhere near the performance. We used to start a "make" and go take a coffee break. To render a scene, it was better to kick it off just before lunch. Based on your other videos I have the nvme hat and bottom but I don't like either of them as far as looks, this case fixes that for both of them. Now I have some spare nvme boards :) Keep up the great work and thank you for this channel.>> <<@helloukw says : Thank you for this video. I do wish there were more options for truly fanlass operation.>> <<@JeffGeerling says : 6:40 - I was testing this case and had the exact same thought! That fan cable routing is just plain weird. Once I got it in place, it was fine... but getting it to stay was tough. And the first time, I didn't realize the PCIe cable had to go in that other slot, so I had to pop it back apart and start over! It is a nice case once together though.>> <<@Sonar37 says : What I'm wondering is can the raspberry pie run Reaper DAW and record at least 8 tracks of music.>> <<@markxexar9386 says : Heads up when you rush out to buy this case. I was so fast that I did not notice I bought a version without the NVME extension. You can buy the extension separately but it was cheaper for me to return the wrong order and get a complete case with NVME included.>> <<@DorukMergan-hq7jo says : EC please help me!I got a raspberry pi and it gets so hot and it is slow.I use USB.>> <<@ShizukanaEntertainment says : Switching from Philip to Magnus was a wise move.>> <<@tohaason says : What I'm always worried about when it comes to metal cases is how it affects the wifi sensitivity. My Pi 4 boards are quite poor to start with, with no case. Big problems getting a good signal from the wifi router upstairs (no issues with tablets, phones, PCs, but the Pi boards do have problems). I can only imagine metal cases will make the problem even worse. It's a very nice looking case though.>> <<@martinwilkinson2344 says : I don't use Pi boards but thank you for being my surrogate tinkerer!>> <<@martinwilkinson2344 says : Almost as fiddly as aasembling a Sinclair Black Watch!>> <<@PGW90RU14 says : Thank you for the information! By the way, for a long time I want to know about the durability of type-D HDMI connector equipped to Raspberry pi 5 because many people say that type-D to type-A HDMI cable is quite fragile. Would you like to explain about the durability of small form factor connectors (type-C or type-D HDMI, mini B or micro B USB) ?>> <<@lionmuller2680 says : What is that screwdriver called? 9:37>> <<@alysiaandjohnglass says : Shame there sold out everywhere>> <<@DorukMergan-hq7jo says : I recently bought a raspberry pi 5 and I am gonna buy the case. You got it right. I tend to agree similar with you: at some point they will figure how to get the experience / image right into the head (through the optic nerves?). Your book is a wealth of knowledge and could easily compliment the shelves of someone studying computer science at university and needed some history / broad view. All said, worthy for everyone who wants to understand what is going on. I would encourage you to rework it for 2024, like a text book gets updated.>> <<@searchpartyguy says : Link to buy?>>
