The high mileage Tesla fb groups are mostly 100k-150k cars and questions mostly asked are should I get an extended warranty 3d party and most say yes. Resale values are higher on Toyota than Tesla with similar mileage. I had a used Prius for a transportation business that pretty much ran 20-24 hours a day and it lasted 250,000 before major maintenance problems. Most people are dumping their Tesla's close to where the warranty is up and prices have plummeted. Tesla reminds me much of Audi with consumer confidence where you get rid of it after 100k miles. I drove a M3 in Houston with less than 5k miles and the door panels were falling apart. Yes it was much faster than a Toyota but most of us aren't wealthy and buying a used car that will last 250k miles makes financial sense.>> <<@Furrfino says : counter point: buy a diesel passenger car. buy used even. They were relatively eco-minded and wanted to move into EV territory, figured it would be a good choice and they would pass it on when the then-new technology started to break down. My friends, that car kept trucking and saving me gas money just fine until last year when the body started to fail.
