I was a die-hard Liberal through 10 years of teaching, and two graduate degrees. It wasn't until I took my first CRT course in my Doctoral studies, in Music Education (yes it is absolutely taught outside of law school and no, it doesn't solely deal with property), that I realized how narrow-minded and one sided the conversation had become. I credit that fanatical CRT professor with my conversion to a more conservative thought process, with my choosing to leave my program and with my ambition to expose the CRT lense in which our future educators are blatantly being taught to teach children, instead of more proven holistic and humanistic methods. CRT isn't being taught directly in K12, but undergraduates are absolutely being exposed to it and are encouraged to teach with it in mind.

Grew up democratic and did my own research and I’m an independent now. I value both side and people need to research! I was fed democratic views and felt like it was “right” but sometime it’s not and in the current moment people need to not be shunned for speaking for the truth and what they value. Progressive people are at the stage where they are so progressive they want to ruin your life when you speak your opinion, and that is scary.
