If you want to slow aging or ameliorate your diabetes, then go full carnivore. Forget about statins, all wheat products, all junk food, all sodas, sugar and sweeteners. And alcohol.
@KowanJane Says:
May I suggest that those of you who live in a self-limiting environment (mentally and physically) allow yourselves to step into the realities of others. Check out the Sens Foundation and people and AI and biotech that impacts life longevity Im a member of the U.S. Transhumanist Party. Do some research outside the confines of your existence

I'm concerned about what happens with longevity / utopianism with some of the groups our societies contain. This is a conversation being held by intelligent people, about a future world _for_ intelligent people, but 25% of the human race is borderline mentally disabled or worse. Think about that. There are _billions_ of people that can't handle much more than a job and some chores on the weekend without having a meltdown. For example, followers of the "big G God" faiths are increasingly going to be met with unignorable disproof of everything they believe in, at a nearly exponential pace, and I think their last gasp can't end anywhere else but with luddite, anti-utopian violence. Longevity escape velocity is inherently blasphemous, human-machine interfaces are inevitably going to be called the mark of the beast, and other nonsense like that. This is not something we might not deal with, it is something we _are going to_ deal with. I think about my grandparents, who are in their last few years on Earth. They were heavily brainwashed from birth in the presbyterian faith, to the degree that everything they do and say is painted with that brush. I can hardly even spend time with them anymore because all they want to do is talk to me about something that I don't believe in, and increasingly, I am lacking the ability to pretend to believe for their benefit. My own mother wouldn't know what to do without Christianity, she once told me "she only listens to Christian music because the opportunity cost of listening to anything else is too great." We are surrounded by stupidity and illogic to the point that we are _drowning in it_ and I don't know what happens when we hyper-enable individuals, and some of those hyper-enabled individuals are people like that. What if my schizo neighbor goes serial killer and decides to chem bomb the apartment complex for a cause he believes in, using AI assistants to make something. What if we get a violent fundamentalist sect that actively starts trying to destroy power grids, or kill leaders, because they think it's their last hope? This stuff keeps me _up_ at night in a big way. I just don't know how the future we need is going to come to terms with the people that are bent to self-destruction, and resist all attempts to be salvaged.

You know how they always turn off life support. Well what happens when you keep it on ? Some jelly fish get to a certain age then get younger. What happens to a human long after they are dead but kept alive on life support indefinitely. The l'orac experiment was when they started getting younger. Benjamin Button was real.

People have earn the right to draw social security because they put into it for 40 to 50 years of there life. This not entitlement. It's earn not just given like wealth fare . How about increase higher correct type of education and trade opportunities and a fair opportunity to do well in there lives. They'll never allow that because of their greed and hunger for power.
@user-ys2lb8rb1b Says:
They're not interested on saving regular people. They well only keep the rich and powerful people. The others will only be beneficial to whatever future they become beneficial to the rich and powerful. All others non beneficial to there society. Regular people or extremely poor they will be considered no importants to no one and they won't be giving them that opportunity to do so.
@moedinkus Says:
I don't want to appear that I know the answer to this subject, however, companies are a major problem when it comes to a person working beyond 60-65. I'm 81 now but when I was 65, companies were practically kicking you out the door. The answer to that is that the company could hire a very much younger person, at a considerably lower wage, and in most cases with fewer benefits. When I was 20, a company provided full insurance at no cost to the employee, you would get somewhere between 30 to 60 days of vacation, and you had an almost 100% assurance of retirement with that company, along with retirement pay, etc. I won't go through current company attitudes and benefits; you already know what it is. This adds directly to they companies bottom line. Another big issue is Insurance Companies, think about that.

Deep state rules the world. Why do you guys think they're keep bringing in illegals? It's to replace people because people keep questioning the authority and they don't like that.
@ctwolf Says:
Is this guy just parroting the narrative of Dr. Aubrey De Grey, the guy who really put the last pieces together, figured out how to cure aging and kicked off this whole thing more than a decade ago? But not quoting him or paying any tribute to whom he is imitating? Wild, but not surprising. Theres no new interesting or novel information in here, im half way through it and just gonna accept I've wasted a few minutes, thank god for 2x playback speed. Could have lost an hour.

https://youtu.be/MoEGdutkWCU?si=lJA8AFYdWLgGG9Iq And https://youtu.be/Lww6AJaGFrM?si=h8Qfo6T1pGPTMRVz "Mortality gives meaning to human life" I'm ok with maybe living for a temporary life but the idea to reverse aging or how scientists and billionaires want to stop aging someday really is unnatural and will damage human evolution. This will cause overpopulation and breaking the chain of our species evolution from evolving for a better society.
@ToddSchul Says:
Is this guy totally unaware that the big pharma/big medical are in the process of taking over nearly the entire economy?!?! People spend their entire lives trying to save money and potentially leave a legacy to their kids, but big pharma and the "elder care" industry takes all of it before they die...once their money runs out they die pretty quick...what a coincidence!
@Mtmonaghan Says:
Utter bs. Because I think it is so, it so bs
@SaintXXVI Says:
None is new to the families with trillions that oversee the industries that can give birth to these ideas like AI powering immortality. If anything, it already exists in the private sector or it may be even more occult than that. If you ever thought “how can i/would i be able to enhance this human body and this human experience/3d reality…” chances are that thought crossed another human/ entity with the literal means to do so

@charlesmiller8107 Says:
If you could live without aging then you are 100% guaranteed to die from accident, disease, natural disaster or violence such as war. What are the chances of you getting drafted into a conflict if you have been around for 300 years worth of geopolitical change. Social stagnation would take place as new generations would not have their turn to create change because the old guard would have the advantage of numbers. Imagine 600 year old Republicans maintaining power for 400 years. The only thing worst than death is living forever.
@mikey1836 Says:
I don’t think laboratory trails can work because they control down to only a few variables, but when you put medicine back into the wild it doesn’t always work as well as expected. AI can use multiple variables from live and multi variant data and do better science. Tom was right on this.
@r.katiekane252 Says:
Type II Diabetes falls under "Endocrine disruption", as does infertility and many other disorders. While some lifestyle choices DO lead to type II diabetes, I would argue that people are going to eat and use the products they can afford. So if safe, affordable products aren't available at all price points we can hardly argue "It was their choice." We don't all have the same start, nor do we hit the finish line having been given equal opportunity under the sun. This is one example of a "choice" most people aren't consciously making: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8157593/

Printing money only causes inflation if there isn’t enough competition in a marketplace. The knowledge that a customer has more money in their pocket should be irrelevant… it only becomes relevant if a business isn’t afraid of their competitor. So, once again, the problem is big business.
