I dont understand the need for a phone like this. My phone now can run all mainstream games and for L and R triggers i can use a grip. Im trting to understand why gaming phones are needed at this time. Maybe later when you need good graphics cards etc gaming phones i can see a thing. However currently, any game ive seen can run on a basic phone.

As a gamer i would definitely want to buy this one, but after seeing that un-needed stuff like the back screen (which completely destroys a certain phone company's existence 😂) and the price with that kind of camera, I would rather consider a different phone that gives more with the same price. I did have a ROG before but besides being noisy as al get outts (fans) it still overheated. I need to have Ubwer/Lyft and Android auto open. So how is noise and do you think this phone can actually stay cool enough to no shut down like every other phone I have ever owned including pixels, samsungs, one plus 10 . Using TCL 20 right now, actuallu a very good phone ..except it easisly over heats even with screen turned down 50%brightness.

i'm kinda sad that the gamer phone loose one of theirs brand, yes i know it's still technically a gaming phone, but as the owner of the rog 7 i think the 7 was the peak of the gaming phone from asus time will tell if they will revert back to more flashy design, but the 4 button on the fan, the aero portal on the back of the phone, the bezel to enable gamer with theirs fat finger to see all the screen, the front camera that isn't in the screen, all in all i feel like the rog 8 target an audience that would prefer going samsung or iphone rather than asus most of my friend didn't knew asus was making phone before seeing mine, of course there was some thing that could have been better on the rog 7 that have been adressed on the 8 but now i feel like i have to loose more than i gain no other phone company could compare to asus in term of integration of theirs accesories especially the fan plugging on the side of the phone with button
